IMPORTANT TIP: You have around 15 seconds before enemies start appearing. Use this time to load your weapons for the first time! THIS GAME IS BUGGY AND A LOT OF THINGS AREN'T IRONED OUT. THIS IS A PROTOTYPE. <|===( INSTRUCTIONS )===|> - WASD to move. - Space to dash. If you dash toward an enemy, you'll deal melee damage to it. (warning: it's buggy) - Mouse to aim. Hold click to shoot. - Z and X to change weapon - R to reload. <|===( WEAPONS )===|> - The first weapon is an energy blaster. It has a very low base damage, however it has very rapid firing rate, dealing a lot of damage in seconds. However, it's jittery and it cannot pierce through enemies. One special thing about this weapon is that you only need to load it once. - The second weapon is an energy bomb. It deals a burst of damage, but it has very slow firing rate and limited ammo. - The third weapon is bullet shooter. It deals moderate damage in moderate speed, it's more accurate than the energy blaster and furthermore, it can pierce through enemies. However, reloading is required.
Read notes for fun facts, it's situated in the very bottom of this section. <|===( CREDITS )===|> - Freesound for sound effects. All of the sounds effects used in this project are licensed under the CC0 public domain license. - Ville Nousiainen for background music. Used from OpenGameArt.org website. This music is used as a replacement due to internet issues. https://opengameart.org/content/fast-fight-battle-music <|===( INTERNET ISSUES )===|> Yes, I replaced the background music to something that is much shorter because unfortunately, my internet has been having a really big problem when it comes to uploading, plus I can't compress the music any further. While my internet has great download speed, the upload speed is really terrible, ranging from 0.05Mbps to 0.20Mbps. This project has run into numerous save issues again, and it's because of the background music and the explosion sound effect which weight 600KB, apparently these are too big for my internet to handle. The thing is, if the requests take too long to complete, they get aborted. That's the problem I have, because my upload speed is abysmal, it takes forever to even send a 500KB file and Scratch isn't going to wait forever for that. Upload speed is a problem I had for a while, but it seems it has gotten worse. Apparently, this might be an issue coming from my router and not my network adapter because I'm not the only one in the family who have that issue when it comes to upload speed. My internet seems to be the biggest roadblock when it comes to my Scratch career, because that means I will have a lot of trouble sharing projects. I might continue the development of this project offline, however until my internet gets fixed, I'm not going to be able to share any large-scale (or even medium-scale) projects. <|===( NOTES )===|> - I mostly ironed out the weapon switching bug and the bullet bug. - This project might be a bit early to enter the Alpha stage, however I am starting to feel burnout developing this game and I need to step away for a bit. The internet issues also contribute to this project entering Alpha stage. - I put a lot of effort and work into this project, so I think it's time I step away for a bit. This game is fully playable and while there isn't much, I'll update this game to add more stuff (such as more weapons and enemies), patch some bugs and improve some things. - Ah yes, I removed the HP speech bubble display in enemies because it was causing a lot of lag. I hope this project still run well when it comes to framerate.
