✩ heyy it's liv! --- welcome to the first episode of my new series, life with liv! in this series, i'll be giving tutorials, baking/cooking lessons, and more! --- today's episode: baking/cooking oreo treats! ---------------- notice: I and my friend made these alone without adult supervision, but if you are under the age of 12, I recommend that an adult helps with microwaving and hot mugs + chocolate. ---------------- possible triggers for allergies: ~ lactose ~ gluten ~ cocoa ~ flour ~ wheat ~ sugar (very rare allergy) ---------------- supplies: - a spoon for each color of chocolate (explained later) - a microwave safe dish for each color of chocolate (preferably a mug or bowl) - cookie tray and parchment paper - freezer - microwave --- ingredients: - meltables chocolate ( i used the sweet tooth fairy brand + found them at michael's near me ) - oreos , pretzel sticks or both - sprinkles + eyeball sprinkles (opt) --- directions: preperation . lay out as many oreos/pretzel sticks you'd like to decorate on a parchment paper covered cookie tray. step 1 . pour half (if you need more, use more) of the meltables chocolate bag into a microwave safe dish. put in the microwave for 30secs. (careful, the mug will be hot. use a mitten or towel and pick up using the handle) when you take it out, stir the chocolate. if it's not fully melted, put back in the microwave for 30secs. (repeat this for each color, but don't do them all at the same time, or the chocolate will dry before you decorate.) step 2 . for oreos, just drop it in the chocolate with one side fully facing in the chocolate. then, use your spoon (that you stirred with) to push it down. use the spoon to flip it over, so the other side faces into the chocolate. flip it over a few times, and once you see the chocolate fully covers the oreo or you're satisfied with the amount of chocolate. lift it up with the spoon and drop it onto the parchment paper in its spot. then, decorate as you please. (sprinkles, eyeball candies, etc.) for pretzel sticks, spoon up chocolate in that same spoon, hovering it over the microwave safe dish. then, twist the pretzel stick while it's dipped in the chocolate, all the way down until it reaches the point you're satisfied with. decorate as you please. (do this for each and every one) ! REPEAT STEP 1 AND STEP 2 FOR EACH BATCH OF CHOCOLATE ! step 3 . move the tray into the freezer, (so chocolate firms) and wait for minimum 15mins for chocolate to firm. once you're satisfied, remove them from the freezer and enjoy! btw, if you save some of them, do NOT put them back in the freezer, keep them in the fridge. woohoo :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
