Abaddon shuddered as Hunter pulled out a large knife and cut the ropes open. Then, they walked out into a blizzard to find a better place to live. After a few hours, they came across a dip in the snow, and realized there was a hill underneath. After a couple hours of digging, they found a cave with ice hanging on every corner. 1 year later, Preston and Gage knew much more about how to use their fire and ice powers. Gage could create a small ice minion to help aid him in battle, make ice swords that came out of his arms, and boost his jumps with an ice pillar he summons underneath himself. Preston could make himself fly with wings made of fire, breathe fire, and create large fireballs at will. They also found out that they had been transported into a new world, with mystical creatures around every corner. There were hippogryphs, fairies, elves, orcs, sandworms, you name it. The only thing that seemed to be missing was dragons. They had expected to see at least some, especially after seeing a cyclops wandering around a forest. Even without dragons, it was a strange place to them at first. The more time they spent there, the more they got used to how it was. When they first got there, they hadn’t even realized they were there until they left the small part of the forest they were in, as it looked identical to the one that they were used to. It happened faster than they could think. Hunter and Abaddon managed to escape the snowy wasteland and found their base, a treehouse in the middle of the jungle. After Hunter saw the auras around the boys’ hands, he ordered Abaddon to attack them. They weren’t prepared to be attacked, and were taken down easily. Abaddon walked up to them, but Gage created an ice chain and used it to escape, grabbing Preston’s hand as he flew out of the window. As they were going through a window, they heard the loud click of flint and steel. Unable to stop it, the boy’s flew out of the window. When they looked back, the entire tree was up in flames. “NO!” Preston shouted, running to the treehouse. “You shouldn’t go back up. It’s too dangerous!” Gage said, trying to stop him. “Well, you aren’t as skilled in fire as I am.” He sprouted his wings. “There’s too much information up there to lose.” “Wait!”
But it was too late. Preston flew into the treehouse, and Gage couldn’t stop him. He wasn’t about to follow him in, either. In the treehouse, he grabbed the few things that weren’t burnt. Books, maps, and a few loose papers. He grabbed them and jumped out as the whole thing fell out of the tree. Meanwhile, Abaddon grabbed Gage and tied him down. After that, he took him away. Hunter stood there, the flames all around him with debris falling from the tree. Preston saw him standing in the middle of the fire and ran. He hoped to meet back up with Gage, until he saw him being pushed into a large ship that was tied to a dock. Hunter soon appeared, cutting the rope and setting the sails. They left without looking back. Hunter now had what he wanted from them, the ice and fire celestial crystals. He looked at him, and realized that he only had a small portion of the fire power, and while he had a lot of the ice power, he didn’t have all of it. He decided to keep him alive so he could question him later. At that time, Preston was trying to think of the best way to follow them without being seen. He knew that they were probably going on a straight route, so he started there. He was about to make a small raft, but then another idea came to his mind. He directed all ice to his feet and all fire to his arms. He stood on the water, and it froze underneath him. He smiled, and started running, the ice catching up to him. Then, he stopped running and used his fire to push himself, while using ice to slip and stay above the water. It worked perfectly, and he slowly sped up until he caught up to the ship. He jumped onto the side of the massive ship and used his ice to freeze himself onto the side. He started climbing up to the top. They arrived at a snowy place, with very little shelter from the coming snowstorm. Abaddon grabbed Gage, and took him to a hill area, where he reached his hand into the snow. When he did this, a large opening started to appear in the snow. He took Gage down there and Hunter followed. The large hatch started to close, so Preston jumped into the opening just in time. It closed, leaving him in complete darkness. He set his hands aflame, lighting his path. He walked down into the depths, and found an elevator. He went in, and passed many strange places on his journey down. He looked out into the room it took him too, and saw thousands of tubes. They all had a strange fluid in them, with something moving in each one. The further he went, the more human the thing started to become. At the very end, he saw full humans trapped. He decided to ignore them, though, because he had someone else to save. He went into the elevator again, and when he did, it took him down further. He heard a noise, and saw Gage. He was tied up, but other than that it looked like he was fine. He ran over and found out that he was bound by dragonsteel, the same thing that made up their armor and the armor of Hunter. He created a massive ice ax, and destroyed the chains. Him and gage ran, escaping. They looked back, realizing that they now had an enemy. Meanwhile, Hunter walked down the chamber that held all of the tubes. He pressed a button, and hundreds of tubes opened. They all, in perfect unison, walked to the front, put on the provided dragonsteel armor and weapons, and went to a different area in the base. Hunter then went down and discovered that Gage had escaped. He smiled, knowing that the only way this could have happened is if someone saved him, and the only person who would be willing to save him is his friend. He walked up, smiling at his new army. He knew that even if they did escape far, they couldn’t escape the nation he was creating. “Abaddon, come here.” Abaddon came running up, and stood next to him. “From now on, you won’t be known as Abaddon, but as the Slayer Guard. I am no longer Hunter, you may call me the Slayer King.”
