He was always a clever kit, a bit boastful when he was younger, but as he grew he became quiet. Dyadpaw had no siblings, only one, good friend named Darkkit, who was due to become an apprentice a moon after Dyadpaw was. However, it was not to be. One night, a argument struck upon camp- the deputy, Lilytree, had died, and the two most likely candidates had... different ideas on how the clan's future should and shouldn't go. Though, that is for another story. During the scuffle, a fight was brought out, and Darkkit's father, Dazzlefly, tried to stop it. In the confusion, the poor-sighted, elderly leader of WindClan banished Dazzlefly and his family, after not understanding what he was doing. Darkkit too, left with the her father, and Dyadpaw never saw her again. Dyadpaw was bitter for sometime, however he never let it get her down. As Dyadpaw was getting closer to being a medicine cat, his parents showed a side she'd never seen- pressure. Dyadpaw felt their watching eyes all the time, and they constantly pressured him into getting better and better. Dyadpaw grew obedient of their orders for a time, until the night of her ceremony. Something snapped inside of her when Laughinghawk came to say hello. As Dyadpaw was sorting the herbs, Laughinghawk began to to pry, trying to ask if StarClan had spoken to him, trying to set self doubt by asking a lot of... odd questions. Dyadpaw cracked, turning around, a disgusting scene shot out in the medicine den. At first, it was a loud argument, but then, something happened, Dyadpaw struck Laughinghawk with his claws. Blood splattered, and the warrior. stumbled back. [ the scene ahead is fairly bloody, be careful ] Dyadpaw's vision was fuzzy for a few moments, and he breathed heavily, looking at the bleeding face of Laughinghawk. Her dilute-calico face dripping crimson on one side, "How- how /dare/ you!" She stood tall, looking down upon the only slightly shorter Dyadpaw. "How dare /you/!" he yelped, "WHAT HAPPENED TO TREATING ME RESPECTFULLY A FEW MOONS AGO?!" his scream echoed outside of the medicine den, and cats began to gather. Blood fell to the ground, Laughinghawk looked at Dyadpaw with an angered emotion, "all I want for you- all I want is for you to become the best medicine cat you can be!" she hissed. It wasn't a lie. But Dyadpaw didn't know that. "Liar!" he yowled, reaching a claw out for the calico's neck, reaching at her artery. Suddenly, blood exploded from her neck and Laughinghawk fell to the ground. the feline was dead, clad in red. [end scene] The death of Laughinghawk was quickly hidden by Dyadpaw and his mentor, the medicine cat. The cats who'd scene had barely understood what happened, and said nothing. After the funeral, Cloudwing avoided Dyadlie, who had gotten her full name. Many moons after the incident, when Dyadlie had taken an apprentice of her own, Cloudwing adopted two kits; Hawkkit and Laughkit, very obviously named after their dead mate. Dyadlie despised the two with every fiber of his being, something about the duo irked his senses, and they just... had the presence of Laughinghawk. It was if she /was/ them. In an attempt to worry Cloudwing, Dyadlie would lead the two into her den, and tell them scary stories, until their paranoia grew so great, that the two never left their nests at night, and they always checked the corners. Then, after this, Dyadlie "mistakenly" fed the two meadow saffron and the two fell into a strong coma, awakening a moon later. During this time, Cloudwing was constantly on guard, watching the kits and Dyadlie. After Laughkit and Hawkkit awoke, Dyadlie waited another moond, when they became apprentices. When they were named, he led them into the dark part of ThunderClan's woods, under the guise he was showing them the territory. But that was a lie. Instead, Dyadlie took the two hostage, hiding them in a fox den with a secret entrance/exit. The two had no way of getting out. Search parties of WindClan kept going and going, but eventually gave up. the two kits complained quite a bit, and as he hid the two, he gained a terrible hatred towards young apprentices and kits. A moon passed and Dyadlie fed the kids deathberries. He made sure to keep them alive, but just barely. After they grew to weak to care for she let them die. Bringing their corpses to WindClan, Dyadlie spun a lie. [ scene up ahead! ] Dyadlie wore a mask, [+]
[+] with a well-acted emotion of remorse, of sadness. On his back lay the frail bodies of Laughpaw and Hawkpaw, and he announced as he walked into camp, with a sorrow tone, "I have found Laughpaw and Hawkpaw." cats gathered as he told the fake tale, finding the two almost dead, but he could not save them... [ end scene ] it was only a moon later when Dyadlie met a rude apprentice by the name of Nightpaw. This apprentice, who claimed to learn of Dazzlefly and Darkkit's whearabouts, taunted the medicine cat every day. With each waking moment, Dyadlie kept trying and trying to have aer tell him, but to no avail. Finally, Dyadlie took Nightpaw captive, and hid him in RiverClan's territory. After multiple threats, manipulative lies, and a few times clawing the apprentice's face, he got the answer, and went to find Dazzlefly and Darkkit. Darkkit was so happy to see Dyadlie, and the reunited duo felt so happy to see each other. Every moon, he would visit her, and soon, Dazzlefly and Darkkit asked to rejoin WindClan, to which they were immediately let back in. Dyadlie and the newly renamed Darkapple became platonic mates, and had a litter of two; Sweetkit and Hopkit. However, Nightpaw's mother, Sturgeonarc, learned of what Dyadlie had done to her child, and became angered at the medicine cat. One night, Hopkit was stolen away by the revenge-driven molly. Devastated, Dyadlie and Darkapple searched constantly, until they found the culprit. Darkapple begged her where Hopkit was, but Sturgeonarc warily refused, seeing Darkapple and Dyadlie's dismay. As she refused, Dyadlie grew angry, and attacked her, giving her a quick death. Darkapple, momentarily shocked, was really only worried that they would never find Hopkit, but quickly, the kit ran out of the undergrowth and back to the two. Many moons later, when Sweetkit and Hopkit were apprentices, Dyadlie had learned that Cloudwing had another kit, with a new mate, Leopardspring. He was named Shinekit. Dyadlie, now only protective of her own, grew angrier and angrier as Cloudwing began to nag her, even taunt her. And seeing Shinekit make friends made her blind anger grow. Dyadlie stole Shinekit's friends and left them in other clan's territory. Shinekit grew lonely, and Dyadlie would often say, "well, you weren't a very good friend." and other blunt, yet untrue things. when Shinepaw was apprenticed, Hoppaw and Sweetpaw were made warriors, renamed Hopbuzz and Sweetevening. Shinepaw ran away, but Dyadlie never followed. Dyadlie, one night, followed Cloudwing out of camp. He wanted to end this. [ scene ahead! ] Dyadlie let out a hiss as he leaped from the grass and onto Cloudwing. She wouldn't make this death quick. Raising a paw, she extended her claws and struck Cloudwing's white face. Cloudwing yowled, rolling until Dyadlie fell off. They ran at him with full force, scraping his chest harshly. Now bleeding, Dyadlie realized he had misjudged the warrior. Dyadlie was caught off guard again, being viciously attacked on the throat this time. Dyadlie shivered, but then ran at the warrior, biting and holding onto her artery. Blood splurted wilding, and Cloudwing very quickly died, but they brought Dyadlie with them. Dyadlie was pushed to the ground, held down by the corpse of Cloudwing. Positioned perfectly, the bleeding out throat and artery of Cloudwing shot it's red liquid, it's blood into Dyadlie's mouth. Dyadlie was found dead, having suffocated painfully to death, from all the blood. Awakening, Dyadlie felt the forever-taste of blood in his mouth, and he looked at his surroundings. He was in the dark forest. But he promised, that he would make every member of Cloudwing's family that weren't descended from herself, would be cursed. By Dyadlie. Dyadlie decided, from now own, that she would make Cloudwing's family feel all kinds of pain, no matter what. - - - you may kill/give Dyadlie injuries, etc. - - - no, only platonic ones, however I'll probably make Darkapple so I'd suggest against it. - - - lineart by @Milqy- this took over an hour wth
