#1: you should be able to turn off/on studio messaging (this could be done by only messaging you when you're following the studio) #2: we need a clone identification system, as in different clones have their own indexes and you can set other clones/sprites to interact with that specific clone (like "when touching cat.cloneindex1)" #3: you should be able to privately share projects with others to work on them together. simple as that. #4: scratch needs a recommendation algorithm, no matter how simple they make it. We need this for small creators to grow. #5: make the likes and favorites put in different places so people understand what they are meant to be used for (like rename favorite to "saved" or something) #6: the default color should be black (not purple). no debate here. #7: the big "choose a sprite" button that has a cat on it (it's the easiest one to press) should bring you to the painter area, not a sprite list. still include an option to go through a sprite list though, just in the sidebar. #8: allow backpacking backdrops (when you drag it into another project, it just replaces all the code and art with the backpacked backdrop) #9 more accessible and obvious undo/redo buttons (idk if these even exist tbh, because if they do idk where they are) FOR LOOPS!!!!! if you don't know what these are, they're basically loops that cycle through a list or range of numbers and you can use the number returned each time and modify it. I leave and breath for loops in python, we need them in scratch. ability to highlight/choose which blocks of code you want to copy/move (so you don't move the whole row on its own every time) the ability to left-click a block and have scratch tell you exactly what it does am i the only one frustrated with shrinking lines (In the editor)? just fix it, it's super janky a much more responsive likes/favorites/views counting system the ability to ban/block users from studios "playlists", not like studios, I mean lists of similar projects that the user can save and show on their profile if they want something showing a scratcher's follower count easily visible on their profile's front page an option to not show who you're following on your front page, and/or what projects you favorited. the ability to drag variables into drop-down menus (if it's not an option on the menu, just return the value thats set on the menu under the variable (i actually want to see this is all languages tbh) thumbnails being an option inside the project instead of just being a sprite with some code stop featuring and trending generic scratch animations. this is a game engine, not an animation tool. (i mean, people can make animations, but just don't shove them down my throat every five seconds) you should be able to sort another scratcher's projects by most popular, oldest, etc. on their page! I don't wanna use scratchstatssssssss a system for liking comments so people know which are helpful and which are just annoying (show most liked at the top of the comment section) make tags actually work (you can select certain categories your project fits in, and people can search for those things. be able to turn off remixing, and liking (we can already do this with commenting, why not the others?) allow someone to sort their messages into sections based on what kind it is allow someone to choose to have a message sent to them whenever a chosen scratcher uploads a project make a tab for selected accounts the scratcher wants the viewer to see (alts, friends, etc.) featured projects (or a different kind of section) are decided by majority vote from the community regularly occurring competitions hosted by scratch themselves for different game categories, winner gets their project showcased on the home screen. more fonts ability to click the end of an (if then) block and change it to an (if then, else) or (if then, else if, else) (we need else if extensions) access to strings in cloud variables, but only scratchers over a specific age/view/follower count get to use it i'm tired good night alright, I just predicted 4.0. i expect to be mailed a paycheck within the next week.
