The second part of the Halloween Story! Note: First read the text in the 'Instructions', then move on to the 'Notes and Credits'. PART ONE: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/750573803/ [Story continues here]: The moon rising over them, the gang was back at their alleyway, free of any charge. Due to witnesses at the local pizza place seeing them eat there last night, they were proven innocent. “Why is it always me? Everyone always assumes that it’s me!” Bill remarked, “yeah, I did steal a donut from the bakery once, even then, it was literally unattended on a table; ripe for scavengers like me to get a free meal!” As the gang started to chill out, however, Bill felt an evil presence. He quickly scanned the others’ faces, but they seemed fine. “It must be my tiredness,” Bill assumed. As he sat on a chair, he caught Joe sneaking out of the alleyway. Bill was too tired to argue, so he ignored him. This proved to be a faulty move, as a SCREAM soon followed. “Joe? JOE! I’M COMING!” Frank yelled as he picked up a crowbar and ran after the sound. Again, Bill sensed the evil presence lurking about, so he strode to a nearby air duct and pulled out his shotgun. He wasn’t going to take chances. Slowly creeping out of the alleyway, the hairs on his neck shot up, compelling Bill to fire behind him. The result was only hitting bare air. “Huh?” he inquired before a sharp pain spiraled from his leg. “YOUCH!” he howled. Turning around, a creature loomed over him, hauling its cargo Joe and Frank, now motionless. And so, seeing one look on his now dead friends, anger bubbled up inside Bill, and so he yelled, “IMMA BLOW UR BRAINS INSIDE OUT!” and he pulled the trigger on his gun. BOOM! The sound of a shotgun blasting through the air awoke Sheriff Scruff in his car, causing him to immediately use his radio; contacting all available units to get to the bakery ASAP. As he stepped out of the car, one foot after the other… BANG! There it was again, the sound of gunfire, during which the sheriff was looking around to try and find its source. Not too long after, a CRASH soon followed. This one was different; it was the sound of a window breaking. “It must be from the bakery,” he implied. Dashing across the street, the sheriff turned on his flashlight and kicked open the store’s door, the tape he had placed earlier ripping away like stickers. A smell suddenly arose over him as he found Bill’s decaying corpse lying on the ground, along with broken glass shards, a discarded shotgun, and his signature red cap. His torso was mauled apart; the same as the man in the alleyway. “Uh oh,” Sheriff Scruff realized, “if Bill is not the murderer, then who is it?” Hearing a growl, he looked right, and something emerged from the counter. “AAAAAAHHHHHH!”
[Story finale]: Tera was wasting time on her phone, when she heard a distant BANG! “What’s that?” she questioned, darting her eyes around the house as the sound echoed. After a few seconds of nothingness, Tera was just starting to ignore the noise until another BANG interrupted her thoughts. This prompted her to put the phone down and open the window blinds. Nothing seemed to happen until sounds of screaming came down the street on the left, followed by bursts of gunfire, as Tera took cover. Running to the basement, she rummaged around the shelves until she found a case which contained a loaded flare gun and a bayonet, its blade glinting in the light. Cautiously, she emerged out of the basement and opened the front door. For some reason, the noises were just… gone. As Tera looked around in confusion… a body zipped past her from the left and crashed into a car. Looking down, she saw someone sprinting. “Hey! What’s happening?” she asked. The person didn’t reply; only continuing to run. Tera noticed another person backing up from a shadowy area, wielding a golf club. The person swinged, got grabbed, and pulled into the darkness, where a deafening cry soon followed. After this had happened, something emerged from that area, definitely much bigger than the previous person. It also sported a distinctive yet unclear shape, due to the lack of light in the area. That wasn’t the slightest of problems, as Tera felt its eyes lock on her. She ran back inside the house and closed the door; not too long after, it was ripped from its hinges by the obscure creature. Screaming, Tera threw her bayonet at it, although all it did was cause a menacing roar. The anomaly delivered a powerful hit to her, flinging her across the room. When Tera got back up, she fired the flare gun. Making contact, the flare exploded; the monster howling in pain as a small fire erupted on one of its arms. Without warning, the creature ferociously rips its own arm off, whimpers evident in its growl afterwards. “It must be weak to fire,” Tera noticed. Unfortunately, she had no time to relax. The monster tried to claw her head off, but she ducked under it and ran to the basement. Tera was almost at the back door, until a white flash engulfed her. When Tera’s vision had cleared up, she froze, as she found out that she was back in her middle school cafeteria. However, the nearby students didn't seem to notice her among them. Seeing that she was inside the middle of a crowd, Tera wondered, “What’s all the commotion about?” until she saw it. Giga, one of her middle school friends with stylish red hair, was getting bullied by a gang of three. Suddenly, Tera caught her own 8th grade self in the corner of her eye, who seemed to blend in with the crowd; sighing in relief. One of the bullies was just about to punch Giga, when another white flash occurred, as it sent Tera back to reality in the basement. The monster’s growls were getting louder, indicating that it was not far behind, yet Tera remained in place. Recalling that flashback of her middle-school self, she winced at the memory; promising to never be like that again. Spotting the main generator, when the monster burst through the door, claws at the ready, Tera closed her eyes and ripped all of the generator’s wires out, causing a massive explosion.
