This might be a draft, but you do have access to the magnificent HX-DOS engine! :D (Press the start icon, press shutdown, and type in 2.) CHAPTER 2: Changelog v0.1 - Initial Release (23 scripts, 9 sprites) + Added HX-DOS support + Added setup + Added 6 avatars + Added startup chime + Added a wallpaper = Aaand i stayed up until 3 AM again so that's it. :( v0.2 - Multi-Colored DOS (105 scripts, 33 sprites) + Updated HX-DOS engine to v1.10. + Improved HX-DOS support (GAHHHHHHH). + Added the ability to access HX-DOS. + Added a taskbar and all the taskbar icons + Added a start menu + Added a control panel -+ Added the ability to change avatars -+ Added the ability to change the color of the taskbar and start icon + Added error messages = THIS TOOK 9 AND A HALF HOURS. CHAPTER 3: Troubleshooting For anything that isn't here, you can probably find it on the Troubleshooting chapter on the HX-DOS project, linked at the top. Unable to start Pinwheel OS: Error 6 - visual.dll is missing Type in opnf sos, type in add, and then type in visual.dll or visual. Now type in back and then pin or pin.exe! Unable to start Pinwheel OS: Error 7: setup.com is missing Type in opnf com, type in add, and then type in setup or setup.com. Now type in back twice and then pin or pin.exe! Unable to start Pinwheel OS: Error 8: login.com is missing Repeat the steps for error 7, but type in login instead of setup. Unable to start Pinwheel OS: Error 9: ctrlpanel.exe is missing. Type in opnf exe, type in add, and then type in ctrlpanel or ctrlpanel.exe. Now type in back twice and then pin or pin.exe! Unable to start Pinwheel OS: Error 10: pin.exe is missing. Type in add, and then type in pin or pin.exe twice. Done! CHAPTER 4 - NIGHTLY BUILDS (REMIXES) I won't stop you if you don't follow all of these (unless you change or add nothing), but i would highly recommend following these 'rules' if you want to remix. - The two words 'Nightly Build' must be in the title somewhere. Doesn't matter where you put it, or if it's the only two words. - You must say what you changed. This is the one i mind the least, but i would just appreciate if you did this. - CREDIT'S DUE WHERE CREDIT'S DUE. You MUST credit me if you remix this. The Creative Commons license even says it. - You must change or add something. Self-explanatory. CHAPTER 5: Pre-Alpha To-Do List - Add a "Settings" app (DONE! Difficulty: Easy (It ended up being "Control Panel" :P)) - Add a "Gale Browser" and 3 webpages (Nope. Difficulty: Medium (I am experienced in this category, but it takes time...)) - Add a 'File Explorer" app (Nope. Difficulty: Hard (It'll be a pain, but it'll be over with quickly.)) - Add a "Photos" app and at least 9 wallpapers (Nope. Difficulty: Hard (From now on, i make all the wallpapers myself. Creativity GO!)) - Add a "Music" app and at least 4 songs (Nope. Difficulty: Very Easy (All the music is lined up. AND i'm experienced.) - Add a "Notepad" app (Difficulty: Hard (Now considering what i'm planning, this will be trouble...)) - Add a "Videos" app and at least 2 videos (Difficulty: ??? (I don't really know what i want to do here. - Add a "Paint" app (Difficulty: Easy (Done it before, can easily do it again.) - Improve HX-DOS support (DONE! Difficulty: Insane (THIS is the reason v1.10 exists.)
