If you are new to the game, learner mode acts like a tutorial for new players. I recommend trying that first. The game is very unforgiving otherwise. WASD = move click = pick up space = drop hold E = craft (touch two items while holding E) R = use tool (throw spears/spin axe) Q = swap item (only if you have a backpack) F = equip hat (not implemented) P = pause (you cannot pause in quick succession or when being attacked) 0 = debug interface debug codes full (fills all your stat bars) spawn (creates items that can be picked up) summon (summons entities such as carts or creatures) set (sets values such as satiation or distance) FULL RECIPE LIST: Tools: rock + wood = axe wood + wood = spear plank + rope = crossbow (2 wood, 1 rock, 2 grass) plank + hide = boomerang (2 wood, 1 rock, 1 hide) charcoal + hide = dynamite axe + copper = chainsaw (1 wood, 1 rock, 1 hide, 1 charcoal) charcoal + copper = shotgun (1 hide, 2 charcoal) Wagons: wood + grass = fire cart plank + rock = storage wagon (2 wood, 2 rock) plank + charcoal = farm (2 wood, 1 rock, 1 charcoal) plank + copper = wood saw (2 wood, 1 rock, 1 charcoal, 1 hide) Basic materials: Rock (picked up by the road) Wood (retrieved by chopping trees with a rock or tool) Apple (retrieved by chopping large trees with a rock or tool) Carrot (picked from the ground) Grass (cut from the ground using an axe or saw) Hide (harvested from nondescript animals) Meat (harvested from nondescript animals) Pineapple (picked from the ground) Charcoal (drops from trees that have been burned with a flaming projectile) Copper (Spawns after 200 distance and collected with a bomb) Crafted materials: wood + axe = plank (2 wood, 1 rock) grass + grass = rope Consumables: rope + grass = bandage (3 grass) apple + pineapple = smoothie
Music, art, and programming are all made by me. The music software used is GarageBand for mobile. for those who seek information, have this guide: you are Levi Gullivan Nomad. It is your duty to make it as far to the West as possible. Your greatest enemy is starving and your greatest friend is your pet worm, Jimmy. 1: Moving if you are playing in learner mode, the screen will not auto-scroll. Click on your wagon to move the screen and discover new resources. 2: Carpentry by clicking on a rock, you will wield it. Move your rock onto a tree and off of it repeatedly to destroy it. Push space to drop the rock. 3: Crafting hold e to activate craft mode. Hover your hands over two materials in order to combine them. Check the little green button on the bottom left while holding an item to read the recipes. Combine a rock and a wood to create an axe. tip: hold r with an axe in hand to automatically swing it at trees. 4. Fire Bring the axe to a tuft of grass in order to shear it. Combine the grass with a piece of wood in order to create a fire cart. The cart will automatically attach to your wagon. You can bring more grass into the fire in order to refuel it. 5. Hunting By combining a piece of wood with another wood, you can craft a spear. Push r with the spear to throw it. Beware, it has limited uses. The spear is needed to defeat wild animals. After hunting, you can cook meat by bringing it to a fire. 6. Advanced crafting Some animals will drop hide. Combining a piece of wood with an axe will craft a plank. Charcoal can be acquired by throwing burning spears at trees. These three materials are important for advanced crafting recipes such as: backpacks (hide + hide) crossbows (plank + rope) storage carts (plank + rock) boomerangs (plank + hide) farms (plank + charcoal) and dynamite (hide + charcoal) 7. Farming farms a niche thing in Nomadness. After building them, you plant a fruit or vegetable inside, and it will regrow indefinitely. You can effectively create infinite food but at the cost of weapons. Skitterlicks will attack your crops every so often and try to lick them away. Farming isn't for everybody. Tip: it is possible to handle the attack waves from having 1 or 2 farms without weapons and just slapping enemies. Use an axe if you need more damage. 8. Copper Copper is the ultra-powerful hard-to-get resource of Nomadness. It has three recipes, all of which are busted. In order to get copper, you have to blow up a copper node (spawns after 200 distance) with dynamite. To get the required charcoal, crossbows are excellent fire starters since each individual arrow can start a new fire. Once you have your bomb, light the fuse and throw it with R. Afterwards, enjoy your: Chainsaw (extremely fast and durable axe) Shotgun (anti-frog technology) or Wood saw carts (turns wood into planks for free) 9. The next area when reaching a distance of 200, you enter a new area. You will go from the woodlands to the grasslands. Here are some tips on how to adapt to the grasslands. - keep moving. the grasslands have very few resources. sticking in one spot will starve you. - watch out for shakers (giant snakes). They attack when you get close but their eggs are the best food item in the grasslands. fighting them with boomerangs is recommended. However, an excellent way to save resources is to learn their attack pattern. Learning to fight the shakers with just your hand is very cost-efficient and manly. - bringing farms to the grasslands could be a good idea. However, bring too many and you have to spend materials defending them. 10. The next next area At a distance of 500, you enter the wetlands. The trees are tougher, the animals are fiercer, the water will make you hungry (if you are wet, touch a fire in order to dry off), and there is almost no grass. Feeding yourself is harder than ever. Not to mention the deadliest enemy of all. THE FLAIL FROG. They have a ranged attack, they dodge projectiles, and they appear suddenly thanks to their camouflage. If there is any advice I can give, bring bandages from the grasslands ample grass. A boomerang wouldn't hurt to make. However, a shotgun will demolish frogs in two hits. Top tip: moving diagonally is faster than moving up/down or left/right thanks to lazy programming. Using the diagonals while hydrated is optimal for dodging tongue strikes.
