[9th Project!!!] [NOTES] -For most of the atoms drawn, the electrons may not be symmetrical to each other across. -The electrons are those circles surrounding the nucleus. -The nucleus is that circle in the middle of an atom. -This is how many electrons can fit in each outer shell -An outer shell is those lines forming a circle around the nucleus: -1st Outer Shell: Can have 2 electrons -2nd Outer Shell: Can have 8 electrons -3rd Outer Shell: Can have 18 electrons -4th Outer Shell: Can have 32 electrons -5th Outer Shell: Can have 50 electrons -6th Outer Shell: Can have 72 electrons -7th Outer Shell: Can have 98 electrons -Groups go down (as a column) (each group has similar element properties) and periods go across (as a row) (each period has the same number of outer shells (except Palladium and Iridium)).
