~ Chapter 28 ~ =========================================== Good or Bad Decision..? =========================================== After the group had walked around for a while, they all headed back to the castle. Lightning had sat herself inside her room, by herself while the others wandered the castle. "YoU dId WhAt????" "shHHh- look- i dont know okay?! i guess i didnt think it through- i just- couldnt help seeing her so sad........ " "Well DuH- you're all mushy-gooshie for her-" "ShUT uP! nO iM nOT! " Spade and Ace were alone in the main room of the palace, Ace was holding a strange box in his hand when he had walked in, much much later after all the others. Ace sighed, and looked to the side a bit, " Look- she just seemed sad- so i wanted to try and make her feel better....shes still my friend.... i dont like seeing her upset......" " SuRe....your... "FrIeND..." Spade added mockingly. Ace just huffed at him and crossed his arms. " Whatever...i dont care what you say...or shadow..heck.....i dont care what anyone says... alright..?" "Okay okay- ill stop picking on you- " Spade snorted and flew off Ace's shoulder. " im gonna go find Silver...you go talk to Lightning.. " He finished with a smile at his best friend before flying off down one of the many hallways. Ace sighed then walks towards the master bedroom, using the back of his hand to gently knock against the door. " Lightning...? may i come in..? " Lightning's ear twitched a bit and she sat up from her position of lying on her bed and staring out the window. "...? Ace...? uh...yeah sure....you can come in..." The silver hedgehog walked into the room, walking towards her "Hey....i hope me and Shadow...didn't upset you earlier..... " Lightning Huffed a bit. " Im sick of your bickering......im also sick of people trying to boss me around....specifically my brother...but you weren't a help either.... " She glared at him a bit with hurt eyes, crossing her arms. The words felt like they shot Ace in the chest and he winced a bit in response. " ...i....i'm sorry.... i didn't try to boss you around....and i'm Sure your brother was just......looking out for you......because i was too...but......im....sorry...." Lightning sighed and brought her legs up and curled them up in front of her so she could wrap her arms around them. "eh...its fine Ace......really..... i appreciate it though... anyways.........what did you wanna see me for...? " "besides wanting to apologize.... " He sighed and sat down on the edge of her bed. " And wanting to make sure you were okay... " he slid the box over to her. " I got you something.... now Shadow....is..gOnNA KiLL mE.... but.....seeing you so sad to....see that little guy in a cage....i wanted to make you smile... " Lightning raised an eyebrow and reached for the box and it started moving a lit when she did. " oH mY gOd iTS aLiVE- " she wheezed a bit, looking at Ace for a moment before grabbing the box and gently opening it. The moment she opened it, a little creature jumped onto her, gripping onto her while shaking. "eH...???? the Epitrix?! AcE- " Ace Smiled a bit and chuckled. " so..? " Lightning Squealed and jumped on the hedgehog, hugging him with one arm and holding onto her new pet with the other. " i LoVE yOu sO mUcH rIgHt nOW " She squealed again in a girly way. Ace wheezes and her ears perked up. " YoU WhaT???? " Lightning Flinched then coughed. " NoThInG.... heheh- oh....but thank you Ace.....seriously....Shadow...probaboy will be upset....dO i CaRE??? nO- i DonT- heheh... " She looked down at the Epitrix hugging her and noticed a tag on its neck, fliping the tag so she could read it off its collar. " Leon.... heh......... well its alright Leon....this is gonna be your home now...there's no need to be afraid.. " The epitrix looked up at her, starting to calm down when she pet him, purring gently in her arms. ===========================================
