The system make take somewhere between 3-6 seconds to start up. The desktop background can be changed using the Appearance menu inside Control Panel. You can also see the system information in the System menu in the Control Panel. Notepad is a text editor program. You may type up things in the box. To clear the document and/or start over again, you can hit the up arrow key. Paint is a drawing program. You can change the color of the brush using 11 values, plus one extra "eraser" value. If you want to start over, click the "clear" button. There's also a feature which allows the size of the pen to be changed. The web browser program, a pre-installed "third-party" program called Quanty, has limited, but working internet surfing features. You may watch YouTube, look at some default sites, and more from the default library of websites! More websites will be coming soon. The piano program is, well, a piano. What were you expecting?
OK, so obviously the credit for the name is a tie between @nate_renaud's unreleased OS 64 and the OS/2 series developed by IBM (and Microsoft for OS/2 1.0-1.3). The codename "Macbeth" was inspired by a planet in Nintendo video game series Star Fox. I guess you also can say it was inspired by Shakespeare, too, though that wasn't my original plan -_- The project "Windows XP" by @Vortex101 was used for reference when the program "Notepad" was developed in Build 27. I'm likely going to replace it with the base text-editing system in Steel OS 1.0 or 1.2 Background came from various sources across the internet.
