Ok, everyone, please stop panicking. I have seen a lot of Scratchers act oddly, and they claim to be part of the Legion. Whether this is true or not is up the pure speculation, but I felt that I really needed to make a Scratch Project about all of this. I did some more digging about if anyone has ever mentioned this subject again, and I found some guide that for some reason got an unreasonable amount of likes by someone who claimed to be in the Legion themself: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/714017244/ - member is banned permanently now. Anyway, you may have many questions, and here is the questions board. If you have any other questions I will add them to here! Q: What was the Legion? A: Pranksters and hackers, I think. Also one lovesick, possibly mentally ill leader that started it all, but mostly just pranksters and hackers that had some form group of friends. Q: What do you have to do with the Legion? A: I wasn't involved as much as the others, but I've known some of the Legion members irl. Q: What's up with your profile? A: IDK okay? Q: How do I know if someone's part of the Legion? A: Ask them directly. If they are part of the Legion they'll usually just announce it dramatically. That's what they did in the past, anyway. Q: Is the Legion dangerous? A: Ooh, now here's the question- is the entire Legion dangerous, or are some of the Legion members dangerous and all of them are just kind of petty? Well, it seems that they usually just want to spam and cause fear, as only a few are good at what they call 'actual cyberbullying'. So if some random guy who comes up to you and tells you 'yo dude I'm part of the Legion', they're probably not dangerous. Q: Did the Legion speak in code, do they do that now? A: Well, they do, but they make sure it's obvious. Remember, the Legion likes attention, not secrecy. They're not some secret underground plot to overthrow the King, they're attention-seeking cyberbullies looking to cause drama. Q: Who are known Legion members? What about their history? A: Here's a list of ones I've seen before: Jaggedleaf- Head of them all, a total creep, had an equally creepy grandfather (long story), blackmailer, stalker, threatened people, pretended to be innocent and a victim until they framed a few of my friends. Biossomfall- Really rude, broke into a large studio and turned it into something different along with Lightdapple, helped Jaggedleaf with their act Yellowfang578/Alderheart578/Cardinalwing/anyone with 578- Banned alts of (possibly) Jaggedleaf AlternatePearlpelt/AlternateDappledwing- FAKE ALTS OF ME AND MY FRIEND. They like doing this stuff for some reason. Lightdapple- I am never talking about Lightdapple. I don't remember too much, though, so I could've missed a few details. As for the history, I know they bullied someone while pretending to be fans of some obscure book, though the participants, to my knowledge, have left Scratch forever except for the bullies, and it would probably be useless to contact them.
I know this is serious, but it really feels like some kind of WikiHow article. How Do You Spot a Legion Member? Here are some things you can do to check: 1. A Legion member usually just goes to your profile and says 'hi' and nothing else. Freaking people out is their thing. Not a surefire fact, though, there's no need to go accusing another Scratcher who just wanted to drop in. 2. A Legion member usually has '578' at the end of their username. That's not a reason to immediately assume they are part of the Legion, it's just something they do to recognize one another. 3. Ask the Scratcher if they're part of the Legion. They'll always be very clear to you, because it's their thing to be noticed and if they deny to be part of the Legion, they're probably not part of the Legion. 4. Check EVERYWHERE in their projects. If something seems off, like a strangely-named costume or the code contains some kind of message reserved only for certain usernames and the message itself is shady, it's probably some kind of weird scheme to not get involved in, or some kind of Legion operation. 5. If they straight-up just insult you. That's universal for cyberbullies. 6. The difference between a cyberbully and a Legion member, though both are foul, is that with a cyberbully, they are most likely acting alone, or with many alts, while a Legion member likes to gang up on a victim with friends and their alts. So if one Legion member contacts you, it's possible a few others are waiting to see if any attention is drawn from it and contemplating whether to join in the 'fun'. How Should You Deal With the Legion? Well, there's not a huge guide about dealing with cyberbullies (I mean there is probably) but we're talking about a large group of them. Here are some tips that may not be guranteed to work, but could help if a Legion member, or someone suspected of being a Legion member, just comes up to your profile or projects- 1. If they've done anything already, like steal something of yours, just report them. Actually, reporting them is probably the best thing to do, ever. 2. If they're completely new with something that ends with a '578', do not interact with them or they'll get excited unless you're asking them about who they are. If you've ignored them and reported them enough they'll stop because you just aren't reacting enough. 3. Never try to contact someone who has dealt with the Legion before. I mean, you can ask them for advice, but it would be a really bad decision to ask them to step in. (I know I did and look how that turned out) This is because that they probably have some sort of previous feud with the Legion while you may not, and the situation could become worse than it really was. 4. If they threaten you, then it's probably a good idea to actually get others involved. Threatening is just not okay and it's not very common anymore. Most likely, no one will threaten anyone else. 5. The best thing to do when faced with a Legion member is remaining calm and ignoring them, because however much they'll ramble on about some sort of 'big Boss' or 'revenge', they're just looking for attention. If they do anything more than insult or steal things, try to figure out what they want, because clearly attention hasn't satisfied them. 6. If they start making a fake alt of your own account or impersonate you, you should definitely try to spread the word that they are not your alt just in case. Otherwise, don't try to get into an argument over whether they're an alt or not, as that's what they want, instead just state that they are definitely not an alt.
