The Coast Redwood, Sequoia Sempervirens, is the tallest tree species in the world. Commonly seen in Redwood National Park, specimens of this tree have been documented at over 2000 years old and over 360 feet tall. The trunk of one tree, called “General Sherman” had had a hole cut into it, making it possible for you to drive through this massive tree.
