prologue: Cloudedstar stuffed his face into his paws and groaned in anger. "Oh StarClan..." He stood up and walked to camp. The wounds on his chest and body hadn't healed. He tried walking to the HighRock to announce the last meeting himself would say... until he passed out. "Is he okay?!" The soft, light brown healer feared. She grabbed tons of herbs into her mouth and ran up to Cloudedstar to heal him, which had no effect on the body. "I wish I didn't have to say this but.. he's dead." Gorsefur silently mewed. The brown apprentice dropped the herbs from her mouth. Cloud-drop entered the den. "What's going on?" The snow white she-cat questioned in fear. The medicine cats stared at the warrior. "Cloudedstar's... dead." Gorsefur muttered. Cloud-drop shook her head, "No, no, no! No, he can't be dead!" She cried. "Featherpaw.. get the mint from the herb rock please.." Gorsefur meowed. "We need to announce to our clanmates that... he's dead." Chapter 1: Galestar jumped onto the giant rock and shook the rain off her fur. "All cats old enough to catch prey for themselves, gather around the HighRock for a Clan meeting!" She shouted. The three tiny kits and their mother walked out the nursery. The whispering cats annoyed Galestar. "Ahem!.." She acted like she cleared her throat to get their attention onto her. "I am happy to announce that Sunnykit, Buzzardkit, Singingkit, Eelkit, and Mousekit as apprentices." Galestar announced, "They will now be known as Sunnypaw, Singingpaw, Eelpaw, Buzzardpaw, and Mousepaw." After assigning mentors, they ran off to the apprentice den. "Hey Dapplepaw, I'm an apprentice now!" Singingpaw grinned. Dapplepaw snugged his face into the dirt floor. "Oh sweet, cold waters..." He sighed. Singingpaw's grin disappeared, "Aren't you at least *happy* for me?!" Singingpaw meowed, offended by Dapplepaw's words. "You said when I become an apprentice, you'd cheer. Do you really think I'm-" "Whoa-whoa! Calm down!" Eelpaw cut her off. "Stop whining about him not cheering. He's probably in a bad mood." She continued. Singingpaw rolled her eyes and pushed Eelpaw out of her way. "StarClan! She really is easy to offend." An older apprentice meowed. "She really is.." Mousepaw meowed with a blank tone. "I hate it. She's really, really dramatic." "STOP TALKING ABOUT ME!" Singingpaw yelled. Mousepaw let out a short snicker. Buzzardpaw and Sunnypaw entered the den later on. "What happened? We heard Singingpaw yell." Sunnypaw asked. "Mm.. She got mad after we talked about her being easy to offend." Mousepaw answered. "It started because Dapplepaw didn't respond to her. "Yeeaahh..." Eelpaw replied. Buzzardpaw nodded. "I see.." "Well, my mentor is giving me 'early training'." Sunnypaw let out a terrible sigh. "I thought we couldn't train on the first day." Buzzardpaw chuckled. "But now it's only you who has to train. You can be a better warrior!... right?" Sunnypaw rolled his eyes. "Bye." Sunnypaw ran out the den. Eelpaw blinked and watched Mousepaw set her gaze onto Dapplepaw, the tom who had been neglecting his apprentice duties since he became one. "Pfft-, y'know you're not becoming an apprentice if you don't train! My dad told me that." Mousepaw snickered once again. Dapplepaw turned his head to her. "Shut up." He hissed, "If I stay an apprentice, I stay one." "Hey-! You used to be nicer! What in StarClan is up with you?!" Mousepaw snapped. They started to fight as Eelpaw and turned her body around to the exit and left. "Hey sweetie! How's your siblings?" Eelpaw's mother, Mistlestem, greeted. Eelpaw gulped, "They're.. fineee..!" Mistlestem smiled, "That's great. Tell them that I love them.. I'll see you around, honey!" She walked away to the forest to hunt. Eelpaw sighed. *If only my siblings weren't so.. outrageous.* She thought. Her paw crunched onto a leave. The noise startled her as he lifted her paw off of it. The leaf was green fading to a red-brown. Was it about to be Leaf-fall already? She felt as if Greenleaf took only 9 seconds. "Eelpaw!" Singingpaw gracefully mewed. "I have a gift for you!" She announced. Eelpaw tilted her head. "Yeah? What is it? Tell me!" She begged. Singingpaw dropped a giant dove she caught when she was hunting to get the anger out of her after she heard her siblings talk about her. "Since you didn't talk about me.. well I don't think, I have decided to give you my first, precious catch!" Singingpaw meowed in a dramatic sounding way. Eelpaw looked puzzled. "Ooohh...kay? Thanks." She thanked. Singingpaw smiled at her and then ran to brother. Chapter 2: Eelpaw walked into her mentor as he gathered herbs into his mouth. "Why are you gathering herbs?" Eelpaw asked. Rushnight locked his eyes to the medicine den. "Oh! They're for Sweetpool!" Eelpaw guessed. Rushnight nodded and walked into the den. Eelpaw slowly walked away. I ran out of room so you have to wait for the next half.
