Name: Kumarumi Gender: Male Species: Bear Plush Age: 16 Personality: Adventurous and daring, has a soft side for his friends and family. Backstory: Kumarumi was born at a small workshop into a family of other stuffed bears who lived inside a shelf drawer there. As he first opened his eyes, his parents noticed that he was brighter colored than all the other bears which were shades of grey. On a very special ceremony, his parents gifted him with a cape and his two brothers with wings. He’d always dreamed of flying, but only his brothers could with their new wings and he became the laughingstock of the town, often attempting to fly off of tall buildings in the sky, but failing miserably. The other members of the small town near his workshop home often mocked him and made notice of how only his brothers had wings and could fly. Kumarumi decided to start working at the nearby post office to distract himself, and because he wanted to prove to himself as well as his community that he could do something right for once. One night, he is given a package to deliver to Strawberry Meadows, which is very far from his hometown, Patchwork Plateau. He has to cross Purpleberry Fields to the north, dive through the bright yellow and green pompom bushes and swim cross the Blemishberry Sea. With the help of Primloon, an eager, young, long necked, light blue and green stuffed raccoon who he met working at the post office, they both make it through, using a jet for transportation (until it ran out of gas) and then traveling through a box to the other side of the sea. Then, they come across a dainty but haunted gate lined with sharp edges and spiderwebs. Over the gate, green fields pile up into a huge mountain, visible from far away. The mountain lays behind a bright pink house that appears to be made of cotton and is chariot like in appearance. There is a note at the door, stating that the home’s owner is not present and to come back later for a ‘free spa service’. Kumarumi wonders around the place and meets Violet, a pretty, reddish pink red panda who was floating around. Their first meeting was awkward, but she stated that her mother is the owner of the creepy house and he hands the package to her. She is quick witted, mysterious and elegant, as she disappears from sight after obtaining it and teleports to the top of the mountain, bringing him with her. Up close, it is decorated with pretty red petals and the full moon seemed so close. They howled at the moon together, laughing and sharing stories of their pasts, feeling like they weren’t good enough and all. Violet states that she felt like her mother didn’t have any time for her and was always busy with promoting her business and sending out henchmen to ensure everyone gave good reviews as well as installing a satellite dish from the top of the house to ensure robots came too. Kumarumi laughs about the idea of a robot getting a free spa massage. Violet’s mother calls, and she vanishes into thin air. Kumarumi and Primloon are teleported back home and Kumarumi sees a note on his drawer in the workshop. It says ‘Don’t worry, I’ll be back’ on it. Everyone else is asleep and he cuddles up in his drawer, alone. In the morning, everyone congratulates him on being able to make it through the long journey there. The next week, another package to the same destination arrives. He blushed in astonishment, seeing that the package was to and from Violet. Was she messing with him? Part of him actually wanted to make the long journey all over again. He and Primloon took the same route but halfway there, Primloon stabs a tree branch into his right eye, jealous that he didn’t get recognized for the long journey too. He is about to heave him off a cliff after roughing him up, but Violet teleports there and pushes him off instead. She then snaps her fingers, teleporting him somewhere else. He would become the king of an evil alien race that lives on the moon. But first, he’d have to fight in battles and earn their respect. Violet takes Kumarumi back to her mother’s house and stitches his right eye back up. And, she also sewed on a scruffy new left ear for him where one was previously missing due to the fight. After he returned home, everyone questioned where Primloon was, but soon forgot his existence. Every week, Violet would send him packages to deliver to her home, but why? In another visit, she showed him what Primloon had become in space, a fearsome alien king that they’d have to defeat. She was a little distant, but later admitted that she needed a friend when her mother was so neglective. She would float in the air and spin around him. Every time he gets lost or hurt on his way to her house while delivering her packages, she heals and teleports him back to her.
