A template for the Chicken coop up! game. This is the simplest form with 5 chickens, one cat, a timer and a score counter. Use the arrow keys to move the cat around and (s)coop up as many chickens as you can in 1 minute.
This is a sample game for my Code Club class. You can enhance the game in many ways. Examples: - Modify the cat movement so that moving up and down does not change the direction they are facing (if facing left). - Add animation for the chickens. - Add sound effects for the chickens, randomly and when they are caught. - Add other animals/collectibles. - Add traps which, if touched, will remove points. - Make the chickens also move to another random location after 5 seconds without being touched. - Add a second player option, and let the players fight for the chickens! - Add a cooperative second player option in which the two players cooperate to capture chickens. - Add a second player option in which the second player can replace the chickens once every 5 seconds (a cool down time of 5 seconds per replacement) and their goal is to minimize the first player score at the end of the round.
