A great battle was surging, Hercules, the great greek hero was fighting a serpent Hyrda. The powerful beast that grows back its head if cut off. Hercules was doing well battling the beast and Hera, a greek goddess watched from above. Looking down at the hero she felt jealous and decided to send something down to distract him. She thought for a moment and then knew exactly what to do. She used to power to send an animal to Hercules, a small crab. The crab looked up at the battle in front of it, knowing what it was destined to do. It scurried up the battlefield, dodging falling debris and the Hydra moving wildly about. It went under it between its legs towards Hercules. Since it was a crab and didn’t have the best sense of direction it ran right into Hercules and somehow fell upside down. For a second Hercules looked down at it and blinked, then went back to fighting. Hera was angry it didn’t work and commanded the crab to try something else. Determined to make its master happy the crab went up to Hercules and using its claws, pinched Hercules making him flinch. Hercules looked down at the crab annoyed, showing no actual pain. The crab suddenly felt very small, being between Hercules and the Hydra. It tried to Scurry away but it couldn’t. The battle continued, the crab being in between, trying its best to live. Then it once again bumped into Hercules. Him, having enough of the crab picked it up and then looked at the Hydra. HE got into a throwing position and shouted a battle cry; “YEET!” he shouted and yote the crab at the Hydra. However, the Hydra was smart and managed to dodge the crab, not that it would have damaged it anyway. The crab soared through the sky, higher and higher until it was so high up it could barely see the ground below. Time seemed to slow for the crab, pondering its existence. It is only minutes old made its life seem even more fleeting. It thought that surely its creator Hera would save it. But she never did. The crab soared higher and higher until it was all the way up into space, the crab, then turned into a constellation, forever immortal in the stars. It watched as the battle finished and watched as the world went by. It watched as humans named a zodiac after it, during the time when it was blocked by the sun. And it watched as a girl named Anna wrote a story about its journey.
Based off/inspired by the original story of the origins, this is still completely written by me and I put my own twist on the story cause why not :P May the Cancer Crab rest in peace in the stars.
