It was the sort of cliff you expected to see in a movie. The really cheesy adventure type movie where the two main characters dramatically fall in love and keep throwing themselves into danger in order to save each other. The cliff was the sort that would be the setting of the dramatic (and unbearably cheesy) climax, where one of the Hero's gets thrown off and there's a heart stopping rescue scene. So it sorta made sense that the map would lead here. To this overly dramatic cliff in the middle of nowhere. And it really was in the middle of nowhere, at least a hundred miles from the nearest town, and an extremely steep hike to even get to the path that led to the cliff. So yeah, totally made sense that the map led us here. I don't know why the others were so surprised. Really with all the crazy stuff that happens to us I don't know how they still manage to be surprised at all. At this point I feel like I can't feel shock anymore, literally! Arwen says I have to stop making that joke though, apparently it's not as funny after the 37th time. But, whatever. I think it's still funny. and Arwen has a weird sense of humor anyways. Comes with being a fish boy I guess. Shrike and Javari always laugh at my jokes. But of course Arwen says that they aren't good judges of jokes. Unfortunately everyone else agrees with him, even Shrike. (I will never understand Alkaline logic) But jokes of dubious quality aside, the whole fiasco that had been us getting to the overly dramatic cliff was rather boring. Of course most things had been getting boring lately. Nash has been talking about trying something else. Hunting down artifacts of unknown powers and origin gets old surprisingly quick.
The next part was.... predictable There was some explosions and traps and it turns out that mountains with overdramatic cliffs are not as stable as one might assume. Roughly half an hour of chaotic freestyle landscaping later and we had one more ancient artifact and one less mountain range. Fun times all around.
