☎️ Sunny wasn’t so sunny anymore. Far from it, in fact. Fae had to do this, otherwise… oh no! There goes her chances of winning. This was, maybe, even the most important part. Maybe more important than the actual games. The parade was fun, at least. And she got a good rating! But this… This made her feel gross. Her insides squirmed. Ew. Ew, ew, ew. Big roaches and spiders and all those gross bugs. That’s when she was called in. Time to knock the socks off these judges. She sighed, and began to trot forward. A sort of door opened to allow her into the ring. She had chosen the bow and arrow, a weapon that fae was actually able to use. Those and knives of any type. Any other weapons were useless in her opinion, and it would be overwhelming to attempt to learn how to use every single weapon that would appear in The Cornucopia. Plus, somewhat impossible. Then fae stepped in, and faer eyes were set on the amorphophallus titanum. The “corpse flower”, named fittingly. The strong, nauseating scent went through her nose in waves. The angry cacophony of a cockroach began nearing the teenager, it’s disgusting feet making a scuttling noise that she did not appreciate. She turned towards it, and backed up. One, two, three… she then loaded the arrow into the bow and shot once, then twice, directly in the chest and the head. It collapsed, and she scurried away. Next, she came upon a spider. She repeated her method from before, and continued doing so until fae approached the flower and bug corpses littered the ground behind her, a green, swampy liquid oozing out of their wounds. She reached into the flower, bending over completely in an attempt to snag the beating, throbbing heart. And she got it. In a triumph, she held it up for all the world to see. She gave a tiny smile to the outsides of the ring. “**** you,” she whispered. And walked out of the arena. ☎️
