Shimmer looked at Mono. “WHAT?!” She repeated. The patients were closing in, ready to pounce. In the distance, they heard a loud “THUMP.” “The... the doctor.” Six said. “THE WHAT?” Shimmer spoke. “The-there...” Mono said. “THERES NO TIME TO EXPLAIN!!” He grabbed the hands of the two girls and rushed towards a TV. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Shimmer screamed. “Just... TRUST ME!!” Mono screamed, before jumping into the television. They ended up in a different section of the hospital, in a room that looked like an operating room. Another tv- the one they had come out of- was behind them, static filled its screen. Shimmer looked at him. “WHAT WAS THAT? WHATS GOING ON?!” she shrieked. “Oh yah.” Six said. “She doesn’t know you can do that.” “I don’t have time to explain!” He spoke. “But I do know one thing...” He said in a hushed tone. “We need to get out of here!” And so, they walked around the room, looking for a way out, while also looking for medical supplies along the way. “G-guys...” Shimmer said. “I-I need to rest.” Mono looked at her. “See! I told you your wound would open again!” Shimmer chuckled, before almost fainting. “I never doubted you for a second.” She Sat down and Mono Changed her bandage. “You really need to get this stitched. You're losing so much blood.” He looked genuinely worried. “Stitches... like these things?” Six said, while holding up something from the rubble. It was a first aid kit. “YES!” Mono said, hugging Six. “THIS WILL WORK GREAT! Go find some more!” He sat and stitched her wound. Shimmer grimaced at the pain. Just as the wound was stitched, they heard a strange sound. Shimmer didn't know but, the kids did. “The... THE DOCTER.” Six screeched. “YOU STILL DIDENT TELL ME WHO THAT IS!” shimmer said in response. “ITS JUST THEY ARE JUST BAD. THATS ALL I HAVE TIME TO SAY, BUT WE NEED TO LEAVE.” six said. “WAIT!” said mono. “W-wait! Shimmer needs to rest, she-” “NO.” Shimmer fired back. “I know I am injured! I know that! But you may NOT treat me like a baby! I will be fine! I will not tolerate one-or both- of you being hurt because of my current state!” She stood up. “Come on! We are leaving!” She marched forward, but they were stopped. A fat man in a Docters robe was hanging from the ceiling by thier feet, they let out a low laugh, that slowly grew louder and more menacing. The kids stifled a scream, while Shimmer took some steps back. “Kids,” She instructed. “Kids, grab my hands.” She said calmly, but anxiously. They did as told. In one swift motion Shimmer turned round and teleported behind the doctor with a “swoosh.” “RUN.” She said to the kids. Because the kids were holding onto her hands, they had teleported with her. They ran, Shimmer coming up with a plan. She scanned the room. A headless patient” in the corner, bleak, but bloody walls; and a very intense sense of the signal. Oh, and a fireplace in the corner. Wait... She called to the kids. “Guys!! I-I have a plan! But I need your help!!” The children timidly came out from hiding and came to her side. Six tilted her head, as if to ask, “what do you need?” She pointed to the fireplace. “We need to get them in there and then turn it on!” She whispered. The kids nodded. Mono stood by the fireplace, he took a deep breath before shouting “HEY I’M OVER HERE, YOU SAD EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR.” The doctor turned quickly, setting its sights on Mono. The fireplace was off, but six stood next to the button to turn it on, and Shimmer stood next to the button to open it. “HEY BOZO!!!” Mono screeched. “ARE YOU GOING TO COME AND GET ME OR ARE YOU GOING TO HANG THERE?!” The doctor growled-like an animal-and launched itself at Mono. Mono forced himself to stand there until the right moment. He glanced at Shimmer. “Not yet.” She mouthed. Six was nervous. Mono closed his eyes, hearing the doctor get closer. … “NOW.” All at once, Mono jumped out of the way, Six pushed the button to turn the fireplace on, and Shimmer pushed the button to open it. The doctor landed inside, and Shimmer pushed the button again, closing the hatch. The doctor let out a not-so-human scream. When the scream died down, signaling that the doctor was... no longer a threat, Shimmer pulled the kids into a hug. “We’re safe now,” She said, fighting tears. She looked at Mono. “And you.” She said sternly. “YOU... have some explaining to do.” Mono simply Put his head down, not ready to explain just yet.
