Hickory dickory dock. The clock struck thirteen. And the mice went down, to H3ll- The only thing that wasn’t foreign to me was Adelia’s hand, holding on for her life, like she trusted me. ‘Adelia, you know it’s time for the reckoning.’ She didn’t answer; the blackness threatened us. Although we were both only thirteen, we could feel the weight of our true ages. Why? One started a war. One finished it. But after that, there was nobody left. Biding our time, waiting for the punishment was so hard. Although we always knew that it was inevitable. -hickory dickory dock.
