Chapter 3 of "Shining World" ~~~ A Sentakushi Story ~~~ Kerushi ~~~ Kerushi high-fived her teammate, "that was a good set!" she chuckled, "It made me feel sloppy." Her setter smiled, "oh, you're fine. At least you got through that blocker-" "That s i n g u l a r blocker!" And they started laughing. Kerushi tried to fix her red-orange, messy bun... and failed miserably. The setter, Buriana had to do it for her. "You know, for someone who plays volleyball... you should r e a l l y learn how to do your hair better." Buriana mutters, her own brown hair with orange highlights was currently in a ponytail. Her lime-green eyes twinkled as she watched her twin sister, Saburina, do the same hairstyle. The only differences between those two were their hair (Saburina's had yellow highlights) and their tastes (Buriana was the girly-girl, Saburina thought that her sister was gross and normally preferred wearing jeans and a hat), and they were practically inseparable. They went to the same classes, same sports teams, same everything. Kerushi sighed, "ugh.... they made practice b r u t a l this year. Even the blockers stepped up their game- if that was possible!" a blocker gave her a smirk in response. Saburina grunted, "The s e t t e r hasn't improved..." and her sister swatted her. "Leave me alone! I have SO improved!" "I meant your setting, not your makeup routine." They argued back and forth, until Akaira separated them. Her narrowed her dark red eyes, "You two! Stop it!" they stopped, giving each other dirty looks, while Akaira put her light red hair in a ponytail. The next day, they were in the midst of practice, when... "No. You're not." Kerushi sighed. She has been arguing with Burina ever since she asked for a set. "Burina, please! I just wanted ONE set-""No!" her teammate barked, her lime green eyes ablaze. Her sister tried to calm her down, Burina was beyond comfort. "You never trust anyone! You want every set-" "That's not true...." "You always want us to be the best-" "We are!" "We are NOT!" she roared, jabbing Kerushi's chest with her index finger, "because of YOU!"
Kerushi shoved her, "watch it, Miss Priss!" she snapped, and Saburiana growled, "Hey! She is NOT a priss!" then she turned to Burina- too late. She lunged and knocked the spiker into the wall, who smacked her back. They fought until Akaira, who was strong enough to do so, yanked them apart- Burina by the hair, Kerushi by her shirt. "Stop it, both of you." she snapped, her normally demure expression was furious. The other girls were backed away, watching both of the girls take their anger out on each other. They ignored each other in their next game. A week later, they fought again.
