Celeste was peacefully living her life on planet Apollo until she was captured and knocked unconscious. She unexpectedly appears on Earth. How did she get there? No one knows. She must learn to hide among humans and adapt to a new environment. When a group of humans capture her and place her in a cage, she wakes up many years later to discover that she has powers. Destiny states that all aliens obtain a single ability. However, the lost ruler is said to have multiple abilities. Celeste is stuck on Earth and cannot return home. Humans and aliens conflict and battle. Celeste’s senses tell her that the world is slowly falling, and she knows blood won’t resolve conflict. Will she make peace and rescue the humans and aliens? Will the two species learn to cooperate? Destiny and fate will speak for themselves. — [ PROLOGUE ] A black figure looms above my head with a knife in their hand. “Be careful with your fate, Celeste. You do not know what the future brings.” My hands and arms were shackled, and my mind froze with fear. “W-what do you mean?” I replied. “You’ll find out.” I fell deep, deep down; everything went black. — I wake up in a peculiar-looking room. The walls seem distorted and curved, and my heartbeat races. “Ah, it’s awake,” a voice mocks. I look up and hear a strange voice, hoarse, unlike mine. Where am I, and how long has it been? “Welcome to Earth, your new home,” the voice booms. “Be cautious; extraterrestrial beings like you aren’t welcome here. In case you’re wondering, the date is June 19, 2102.” “Who are you?” I replied. “We are humans, the most intelligent life form on this planet,” they said, “What about you?” “I’m Celeste, and who I am is unknown to me. My parents died when I was young.” “Understood,” the human commands. “Follow me.” I follow the human into a strange chamber. It is a closed box with metal bars on all four sides. “What is this?” I ask suspiciously. “Nothing. Just go in. You’ll be fine.” I step into the jail cell, a surge of electricity hitting my body, instantly paralyzing me. The human only laughs. — I hear a strange sound in the distance. My senses awaken. I sensed danger as if something was wrong. What are they doing? I feel like melted wax and ticking timepieces without time. Everything begins to blur out, and I instantly feel dizzy. — 5 years later. I hear shooting in the distance. I can tell there is war brewing in our blood. Hatred and agony spread like wildfire, just like everything I knew back home. Suddenly, a noise shakes the building, which slowly collapses. I knew I was in trouble, and I had to flee. But I was trapped. — “I have to find a way out of here,” I mutter to myself. Examining my surroundings, I see no signs of hope. Back at home, in our most desperate times, we would let out a high pitched shriek, which is only heard by our own kind. I was holding my breath, ready to shout. Until I see a rope. Victoriously, I climbed out of the cage, which once contained everything I knew for the past 5 years. — I’m on the ground, running as far as my legs can take me. I notice there are a few aliens, all of them staring at me. Looking down at the ground, I noticed a gemstone and picked it up. “Commander!” says a man in a green suit, “An alien!” Not looking back, I ran as far as my soul would take me. — Humans and aliens have been fighting for years now. My heart feels bittersweet and heavy, with a tingling, bitter aftertaste. With a dazed mind, I wandered into a battlefield where my own kind was aggressively trying to defend itself while humans were sneaking on them. “Stop!” I yelled. “Stop. Stop fighting. Blood doesn’t resolve conflict.” I felt funny, and everyone froze at my command, as if time had ceased. The gemstone glows, and a message slowly engraves on the ground. There’s peace in the world. Well done. [ EPILOGUE ] I sat upon my throne, tiredness wearing away at me. I feel on top of the world, richer than a mine of gold, with a feeling of success washing over me. The gemstone around my neck glows brighter than ever before. I smile. My life has been lived to the fullest—rich, golden, and ready to soar high like a phoenix. As I fall asleep, I think about the miracles in this new world. — I no longer need to hide who I really am. Carelessly slipping my shoes on, a few people wave hello to me. It’s hard to believe that years ago, we once fought. Nobody mentions this anymore, I can confidently say that we are at peace.
