Iscotope Engine ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please use TurboWarp: https://turbowarp.org/763005359?hqpen&limitless ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Controls: WASD to move, arrow keys to change where you are looking, press space to jump, press enter to run the test cutscene (just makes the camera move around a bit). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notice: Iscptope is spelt incorrectly intentionally. Please do not comment about this, Iscotope looks cooler than Isotope, okay?
Credits and thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This engine was built entirely from me, apart 2 parts. The sorter, which I pulled from some random project, but I can't remember who's that was. And the triangle filler, which I pulled from some random video, I will include the link to that when I find the video here: Thanks to anyone who sees this project for being bothered to click onto this project. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is based off of my previous 3D engine, the Quantan 3D engine. That 3D engine was required to sort every single line of the triangle filler, sorting 1,000's to 1,000,000's of lines to draw this single cube, this one only has to sort 12 points to draw this cube. In Alpha release 3, I will attempt to add sprites to the engine so I can add things like enemies with path finding. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Releases ------------------------------------------------------------------------- - First official release that works: Alpha 1: 10:39 AM | Australian Queensland Time | 30/11/2022 - Something that I would genuinely use for a game, it has sorting and coloration, and no Turbo Warp required. Alpha 2: 6:35 PM | Australian Queensland Time | 2/12/2022 Alpha 3: 10:08 AM | Australian Queensland Time | 2/03/2023. Added a basic lighting engine so that tings further away or on a different angle to your character seem darker/brighter. Beta 1: 9:15 AM | Australian Queensland Time | 17/05/2023. Added some forceful Beta 2: 1:32 PM | Australian Queensland Time | 25/08/2023. Added the ability for triangles to be able to go off screen indefinitely.
