STELLARLUNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IS OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT I had planned to make it last and savor it but I read the book in three days eek- FIRST OF ALL, SOKEEFE IS CANON OMW AHHHHHHHHH *dissolves into happiness* SERIOUSLY THOUGH I CAN’T WRAP MY MIND AROUND IT- SOKEEFE. IS. REAL. IT HAPPENED. AHHHH When I first came to the chapter where it happened, I read the first sentence a bajillion times because I knew after I finished that chapter the world would be CHANGED bcs SOKEEFE (yes… I was spoiled abt it beforehand so I knew it was coming… *sigh*) ALSO DID YOU KNOW THAT THE NUMBER 42 means stability/security, perfection, and is the answer to life???? HAHAHA I FIND THIS SO FUNNY THO- "The number 42 is significant in numerology because it is a combination of the numbers four and two. The number four represents stability, security, and grounding, while the number two represents balance, harmony, and cooperation." ?? (coughcough I think this means that Sokeefe is gonna stay for good ahhh) "42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything" I wonder if Shannon actually meant to do that tho lol! I’m re-reading the series rn and I’ve been looking for anything sokeefe related to the number 42 (like chapter or page numbers) and CHAPTER 42 OF EXILE WAS THE PART WHERE SOPHIE INVITED KEEFE OVER AND HE SAID “IT’S A DATE, FOSTER” HAHA Okay but, in all honesty, the Sokeefe Revelation was kind of a let down imo? It just wasn’t what I was hoping for since Keefe is not the way he used to be, which obviously I get, but it feels wrong that he didn’t make any jokes besides blowing her a kiss lol. OKAY- now onto things other than sokeefe! Sooo, Stellarlune as a whole wasn’t my favorite, and it’s probably one of my least favorite books in the series. The book kind of just felt like it was dragging on and there wasn’t anything keeping me reading besides the fact that I’m already predisposed to read it since I’m a mega keeper fan. The book definitely wasn’t bad or boring! It’s just, compared to Shannon’s other books, I didn’t feel nearly as much tension or build up in the book, and there was kind of 0 plot development. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the ending, not because of the cliffhanger but because nothing was building to that point in the book. I was kind of thrown off with the introduction of Elysian (being a person). Shannon said she was working towards it the whole series, but tbh I feel kinda lost w/ the introduction of yet another character who’s supposed to bring about some dramatic change to the books. The ending also seemed rather abrupt, and I felt that there should have been at least a little more resolution. Side note- this is the last Keeper cliffhanger EVER guys!!! *mind blown* well, unless Shannon decides to write a book 11 (which she mentioned she might decide to if she can’t resolve everything in book 10) I did really like that they all got to go back to Foxfire, and it was nice to see more Jensi content! Made me nostalgic for the first books <3 Also pretty happy with the Dex content in Stellarlune! Jensi: ugh don’t pity me Sophie: Food Also Fitz’s character development got thrown out of the window welp KOTLC Mental Image To Keep Me Sane: Keefe blowing Sophie a kiss Keefe running away was literally pointless and I find it so funny that he was like “YOULL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN FOSTER SO I HAVE TO TELL YOU I LOVE YOU SO MUCH” and then she goes to pay a visit to tell him his mom's tracking him and he’s like “welp I guess I’m back in the lost cities now but bonus points I get to stay by Havenfield!” . . . flag and space / click 1-7. behold (yes that's my snuggle buddy in the photos) 8. BEHOLD, CHAPTER 42 (as I said I read this first part a bajillion times before moving on bcs I knew the world would never be the same after I finished the chapter) 9. no context 10. THIS PART MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD 11-12. I love the references to the other books! For example, in Exile when Keefe and Sophie were flying Silveny to get her abilities fixed, Keefe said something about there being a whole lot of stars, phrasing it in the exact same way. Also in Keeper Sophie wore a red dress and she noticed Keefe and Fitz staring at her- she must've REMEMBERED this bcs she chose to wear red when she told Keefe in 42 which I find SO CUTE . . .
