The inspiration for the song was this "analogy", if you could call it that; girls + makeup = pretty wearing makeup makes you made up made up means fake. ⠀__⠀⠀__ ꒰ᕱ ❱⠀o t h e r⠀/ Fun Fact 01 :: The line "drown my sorrows in makeup and hairspray" was created in the shower, while literally drowning my hair in conditioner.
