Model : Unknown. Type : MRL roped hydraulic. Logic : ULCEP I (Ultra Low Cost Elevator Parts) microprocessor controller (Grrrrrrr). Starter type : Solid state. Motor : GMV pump (Nice). Voice : Older IMEM « murder voice » (Grrrr) ? Chime : Older IMEM chime (Grrrrr) ? Doors : Selcom (Blurrrrr). Fixtures : Dewhurst (Grr). Indicator : Generic (Grrr). Positioning system : TVC Ticky Tape (Grrrrr). Location : My (Fictional) block of flats, Arbeidegata 33, Drammen, Norway. Other : Welcome to my nice and modern block of flats which was opened in November 2008. Unfortunately, the lift is a complete load of rubbish !!! It’s even worse than a regular Oakland Elevators Ltd/Oakland Excelsior lift. Worst things about it : - Horrible Selcom (Very cheap Wittur doors) « SKRERK ». - Ultra unreliable and rubbish ULCEP I logic which accepts only 1 call at the time (The fact that it hasn’t full-memory is not acceptable for a lift from 2008 at all). - Horrible voice, horrid chime and awful ticky tape. - Really slow and violent when it starts on the way up and when it stops (Because it’s a bit low on oil and the roped hydraulic piston is worn out). - Looks boring and feels very cheap (Creaky noises while it runs at full speed, wierd sound of the hydraulic piston while it runs at levelling speed because the ram is worn). - The levelling isn’t precise enough. - Designed to last 10 years before having serious issues. - Really annoying long delays and the levelling time is quite/a bit long. - It has only 7 hours left before being turned off as it will be fully diagnosed by KONE. It has a very big risk to be replaced with a great brand new KONE MonoSpace 500 EcoDisc NMX 07 afterwards (It was also very badly maintained by Kotori Minami Heis A/S between 2014-2021). - Quite small. Positive things about it : - Good sounding and quite reliable GMV pump. - All of the buttons works, the Safeline phone and the door sensors works too. - It is now very well maintained by KONE since 2021. - It’s quite a new/modern lift. - The building is in a very good condition, it is well built, the interior and the exterior looks nice and very modern and the whole thing ages very well (Apart from the lift). That building is also really modern-looking.
