【太平洋条約（日本語版）】 《第一条》 太平洋条約を批准する国家は、不当な戦争を行わず平和を望み、正義を貫く必要がある。批准国は第三国への介入の際、国際平和、国際安全保障および正義を損なわないような平和的な手段にて関与する努力義務を負う。 《第二条》 締約国は、各国の自由な制度を強化し、その制度の基礎となる原則をより良く理解し、安定とウェルビーイングを促進することによって平和的・友好的な国際関係のさらなる発展に寄与すること。締約国は、国際的な経済政策における対立をなくすように努め、締約国間の経済的協力を推奨する。 《第三条》 この条約の目的を効果的に達成するために、締約国は、個別的および共同的に、持続的かつ効果的な自助および共助によって、武力的攻撃に抵抗するための個別的および集団的能力を維持し、発展させることとする。 《第四条》 締約国は、いずれかの締約国の領土保全、政治的独立、または安全が脅かされていると認めたときは、いつでも協議を行う努力義務を負う。 《第五条》 締約国への武力攻撃は全ての締約国への武力攻撃と見做し、締約国は武力攻撃を受けた国家への支援を行う努力義務を負う。 《第六条》 この条約を批准する際、既に他国と締結している条約・協定が全て、この条約と矛盾しないことを約束しなければならない。この条約と矛盾する条約・協定を締結した場合、または締約国同士の軍事衝突が発生した場合はこの条項に違反したことになり、その締約国は太平洋条約機構による保護から外れる。 《第七条》 この条約機構に於ける公用語は日本語とする。 《第八条》 この条約を改正する場合は、加盟国の過半数以上の賛成及び議長国の承認が必要である。 ──────────────── 【Pacific Treaty (English version)】 《Article 1》 States ratifying the Pacific Treaty shall be bound by the desire for peace and justice, not to wage unjust war. In the event of intervention in the affairs of third countries, ratifying nations shall be obliged to use such peaceful means of engagement as will not prejudice international peace, security and justice. 《Article 2》 The High Contracting Parties shall contribute to the further development of peaceful and friendly international relations by strengthening the free institutions of their respective countries and by promoting a better understanding of the principles underlying such institutions and by promoting stability and well-being. The Parties shall endeavor to eliminate conflicts in international economic policy and encourage economic cooperation among them. 《Article 3》 In order to effectively achieve the objectives of the present Convention, the High Contracting Parties shall maintain and develop their individual and collective capacity to resist armed aggression by means of sustained and effective self-help and mutual assistance, both individually and jointly. 《Article 4》 The High Contracting Parties shall be obliged to endeavor to hold consultations whenever they find that the territorial integrity, political independence, or security of any of them is threatened. 《Article 5》 An armed attack on a High Contracting Party shall be considered an armed attack on all High Contracting Parties, and the High Contracting Parties shall be obliged to endeavor to render assistance to a State Party that has suffered an armed attack. 《Article 6》 Upon ratifying this Convention, all treaties and agreements already concluded with other countries shall be undertaken not to be inconsistent with this Convention. The conclusion of any treaty or agreement inconsistent with this Convention, or the outbreak of military conflict between the parties, shall constitute a breach of this provision and shall exclude the party from the protection of the Pacific Treaty Organization. 《Article 7》 The official language of the Organization shall be Japanese. 《Article 8》 Amendments to this Convention shall require the approval of a majority of the signatory countries and the approval of the Presidency. ────────────────
