Robin backed up as the strange look in his eyes faded but leaped forward to catch Fateshifter as he fell. No matter how possessed he seemed, he was like a blood brother. She gently set him on the ground, arranging his wings so they wouldn’t bend uncomfortably. Fateshifter groaned and opened his eyes. “So uh… did you guys hear that?” Robin nodded grimly. “I mean it was kinda hard not to. Your voice got all weird and your eyes turned white and then you fainted.” “Oh. Fun…” “Super.” she laughed, then her slight grin faded, changing into a look of concern. “Hey Azure, you know a lot about head injuries right?” “Yeah, a little bit,” they said, walking closer. “Why?” “I just want to make sure our ~fearless leader~ is ok to lead us to the mountains where Ostrich is.” Robin said with a small smile. Azure examined Fateshifter closely, having him tilt his head this way and that, peering into his eyes. “I think,” they said slowly, “that whatever happened to him wasn’t an injury per se, but just a prophecy of sorts. A weird one that made him faint.” Fateshifter stood up shakily. “Guys I’m fine. Honestly. Let’s go.” The dragonets and Darktalon spread their wings, took to the skies, and headed toward the Sky Kingdom. As they got closer, the desert faded into forests which thinned out once they reached the border. They flew for many long days before reaching the mountains. They landed, and Robin looked around in wonder at the place she would have grown up in. “It’s beautiful!” She exclaimed. A figure stepped out of the shadows, wings raised menacingly. “Yes, and I am keen on protecting it from trespassers. So who are you, and why have you come here?”
