literary just found out about this!!! my brain was on it immediately I was actually eating french toast when I found out about it
if you don't eat toast on national french toast day they say a french person will hit you with a baguette or sometimes a croissant ( I AM JOKING ) (some people are deadly afraid of the french) XD
