Aight guys i have an announcement. I'm going to leave scratch PERMANENTLY on mid 2023 or late 2023. It's not because i hate Scratch or anyone on scratch, its just because i lost interest. I know that this website is created to appeal to younger audiences and teach children to develop and code things. As i grow up, my interest changes. And i don't have that much time with scratch compared to the past. I respect what Scratch has done. Scratch will be considered as a childhood memory for me. But, i will be posting some projects as i have some project ideas that i would love to share with you guys before leaving. Flabbergasted with the Scratch community and their wonderful projects. ... Scratch is a high-level block-based visual programming language and website aimed primarily at children as an educational tool for programming, with a target audience of ages 8 to 16. Users on the site, called Scratchers, can create projects on the website using a block-like interface. Projects can be exported to HTML5, Android apps, Bundle (macOS) and EXE files using external tools. The service is developed by the MIT Media Lab, has been translated into 70+ languages, and is used in most parts of the world. Scratch is taught and used in after-school centers, schools, and colleges, as well as other public knowledge institutions. As of May 8, 2022, community statistics on the language's official website show more than 104 million projects shared by over 90 million users, over 686 million total projects ever created (including unshared projects), and more than 100 million monthly website visits.
Most Scratchers that left scratch are scratchers who found success in Scratch then moved on to other platforms. I guess it's happening to me now... This is not my final goodbye, as i have more time until late 2023. Will try to spend the valuable time on Scratch with you guys. Peace out. -Proplayerishaikal (also known as @Animationsmadebycat and @Protatosaurus )
