Happy Holidays everyone!! I've really wanted to do this for a whole year, so here we are! This is a quick mini-map (although not exactly mini tbh) that I will be hosting since it's now the holiday season :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rules: 1. More experienced animators (i.e. people who have made at least 3 animations) will likely have priority. In other words, if I wake up to find 2 people who want the same part, I'm more likely to give the experienced animator the part. Less experienced animators, however, WILL always be allowed in maps hosted by me. 2. If you ask for a part but don't fill out the form, I will ask you to first. If someone else fills out the form before you do, they will be given the part even if you asked first. This is because last time, I got too overwhelmed by people who wouldn't fill out the form, which resulted in people doing parts they weren't told they could do. TNEs are exempt from this rule. 3. You may not talk trash about anyone's art, not even your own. It's fine if you say something like, "I'm not the most proud of this" or, "I really don't like how the character's legs look" about your own art, but don't say something like, "eww this is trash I hate it". 4. You have 1-2 weeks to finish your part. That's not a lot of time, but there's not a lot of time until the winter holidays. All parts are due before Wednesday, January 11, 2023. 5. The map is not scripted or anything, however I do ask that whatever you do with your part, keep it somewhat minimalistic (i.e. don't spend a whole hour on each frame working on really tiny details). This isn't a school art project, so there's no need to make every tiny detail perfect. Also try not to put too much detail in the background. It'll draw too much attention to a simple map like this. The code word is holiday, hide it in a sentence. If you need any help with the colors, I have 3 palette sheets located inside the project. They are not at all required, but I do ask that you use the correct colors in the palette for really common stuff like trees, snow, and bricks. 6. Characters don't need to follow the palette. That's why Sky is in the thumbnail I made. So, any oc colors/designs work, with the exception of neon colors and really creepy-looking characters if you happen to know what I mean by that. 7. (not a rule, just a statement worth putting here) All of the parts are somewhere around 8-10 seconds except for part 14, which is much shorter. 8. Pmv is acceptable, but amv is preferred. The difference is pmv is when you make your part consist of a few pictures that usually, though not always move around slightly, kind of like a slideshow. Amv is when your part consists of some kind of animation, and is often preferred in maps like this. The real code word is inside the project where the palette idea stuff is at. You have no idea how many people asked me that these mean in my last map, when the definition was literally in the description like how it is here. 9. Be patient with me. I've only hosted one map before this one, and that was over a year ago. I made some mistakes back then, and I'm almost bound to make some mistakes on this one too. We all make mistakes, anyway. 10. You can do whatever wintry scene you want, just as long as it follows rule . This goes for everyone involved in this map, even TNEs. I wrote this rule again just as a polite reminder so that you don't forget ;> 11. I will NEVER limit the amount of sprites you can use. However, if you use 999,999,999,999,999 sprites, Ruby and Sky won't be very happy about it. 12. No more than 2 parts per user. They can be consecutive or not, but no more than 2 because this is a smaller map. 13. Don't go around asking me what the types of map parts are. Waaay too many people did that last time, and it gets annoying. I always put the definitions to stuff in the rule in which I mentioned it in, so there's not really a reason you should be confused about that. If you have any questions other than what the types of map parts are, however, I'll be happy to help, so feel free to ask. 14. Keep in mind that the little snowflakes I put in front of the thumbnail in this project will also be in the completed map. I highly doubt this causes any concern, but I thought I'd let you know anyway. 15. DON'T PUT YOUR PARTS IN THE BACKDROP PUT IT IN A SPRITE 16. Have fun and once again, happy holidays!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What to do now: Now you probably want to know what to do to get in this map. Which is, the form to fill out. I need to see this completed in order to accept your part: Username (without the @) // Part # (or put TNE) // Amv or pmv? // 2-3 animation examples // Codeword // Anything else you want to add? Example: Ruby_Crystals // Part 1 // Amv // Happy Holidays everyone! // Nope!!
