Original Project/Coding: @RedCuzImAwesome Character: Pinball Scene (scarlet macaw / black-handed spider monkey hybrid) Audio: "Running in the 90s" - Initial D potential photosensitivity warning. it's not that serious, but there are occasional flashes and a fair amount of bright colors and/or fast movement at times (including spinning) i probably could've used kensington for this, but i've really been wanting to draw pinball scene again lately. he's... parrot monkey and yes, he doesn't have any thumbs. spider monkeys spend the majority of their life in trees, so their hands are primarily suited for hanging onto branches. this means that, depending on the species, spider monkeys have thumbs that are either nonexistent or reduced. they do have prehensile tails for grabbing things, though the reason his talons are shaped that way (as shown in the beginning) is because parrots and some other species of birds really do have toes arranged like an x. the technical term for this is "zygodactyl" and it's primarily for the bird to grab onto things better (me after rattling off several animal facts i have memorized for some reason but have decided to do a quick google search to make sure i'm remembering correctly) you know, i'm something of a zoologist myself. and yes, at the beginning he keeps doing the family guy death pose when he falls down. makes sense - pinball is technically a griffin (he was originally created to be one, anyway) his bracelet is on his right arm (as shown in the project thumbnail), but considering there are a few moments where i just flipped the drawing, it's occasionally on his left arm instead i believe i mentioned in the last project i did that i have my reasons for not uploading as often on scratch anymore. well, here are a couple of the reasons: -i don't usually have any ideas for projects these days - and when i do have ideas, i don't always have the motivation to do them. -i'm focusing on other things lately. i'm already working on the fourth episode of a story i've been writing, and as of now, finishing some character designs for a friend -as i've previously mentioned, scratch isn't really the target audience for most of the things i make, including my own story. at times it feels a little weird making projects on an all-ages site relating to a series that's... not really all-ages (even if the projects are fine for this site). that being said, i don't plan on leaving this site (i've left this site many times and it's always resulted in me coming back a few months later). i'll still upload from time to time - even if it's less often than i used to. how do people find the motivation to upload something new every day (or multiple times a day)? i was able to do that when i was about 12-13 but i can't do that anymore haha
