The Golden Prophecy - Prologue - A pale gray tabby she-cat with eyes of emerald green emerged from the trees, and following her were two kits. One of them, a similar tabby color with amber eyes, mewled. "Mother! When will we stop running?" "When it's safe." The older cat replied. She knew that she couldn't tell her kits why they were hiding. She had to be as far as possible from her home, because she betrayed them. "I wanna go home!" The other kit, a pale yellow tom with brown tail stripes and leg stripes whined, blinking his aqua blue eyes up at his mother. "Frost, Golden. Listen to me, that isn't our home anymore. We are looking for a new, better home, where there will be food, water, shelter, and imagine all the-" The tabby stopped, and snapped her head up. Someone was coming. "Kits, follow me!" She ordered, grabbing Golden by the scruff and running, Frost following. She was knocked off her paws. Crashing to the floor, she blinked open her eyes to see Golden slamming into a tree, and yelping in pain. She scrambled to her paws to see a dark brown tom trapping Frost. "Hey! Mud." She hissed, knowing it was her former denmate, and he was here to kill them. "Snow, what a surprise!" He spun around, giving her a cool, malicious yellow gaze. Almost at once, before giving warning he slammed into her again, clawing at her face again and again, knowing she was going to die. Please, spirits of my former home, guide my kits, let them escape from this cruel place, please... She thought, as she turned one last time to Golden. Asher eyes began to close, she saw a bigger, stronger and scarier cat that looked like him, and it was above Golden. A vision. She had seen a vision. She smiled, and her world went black.
