The Tribe of Whispering Shadows is a tribe of cats who wander around. They've lived in many places, but something always causes them to leave, whether its temptation of better hunting grounds, danger, or scarce hunting. Speaker of The Shadows, or ShadowSpeaker, communicates with their ancestors, the Shadows that Eternally Whisper, and leads the group, similar to StoneTeller but without the healing. Apprentices, To-Bes, whatever they are elsewhere, in this tribe they are In-Training, or Trainees. The Enforcer is NOT the successor of ShadowSpeaker. They know nothing of communicating with ancestors. The Enforcer is picked by ShadowSpeaker from the Claw-Fighters. Their job is to organize cats and support ShadowSpeaker, defending him at all costs, even if it costs their own life. Claw-Fighters are simply battlers. They guard, they invade other cats, and the strive to prove themselves to ShadowSpeaker, so that they might one day have the honor of being the Enforcer. Prey-Finders find food at all costs. Whether its scavenged, hunted, stolen with the help of a Claw-Fighter, or even begged for from TwoLegs, so long as the Healer deems it safe to eat, its eaten. Different Prey-Finders have different skills. The Healer's job is very simple. The hardest part is probably memorizing every herb ever encountered. You could bring an herb from many moons journey away, show it to them, and they would name it and all of it's uses. Healers pass down everything they know, everything their Trainer taught them, to their Trainee, so that no matter where the tribe lives, they know every herb around. The other smaller part of it is making sure food brought back by Prey-Finders is safe. The Shadows that Eternally Whisper are the Tribe's ancestors. They guide ShadowSpeaker. And they get very angry if they are disobeyed or lied about. In other words, ShadowSpeaker is a voice to the tribe for the ancestors, and if they rebel, they are replaced. These ancestors currently have a close partnership with the Dark Forest and are trading the Lake Territory for helping eliminate the Clans.
Warriors by Erin Hunter, but the Tribe of Whispering Shadows belongs to me, and is relevant in the Roleplay "Darkness Within".
