(My first story project! Wonder how this will go... such lazy art lol) Young Blossom always loved the idea of growing up into the best crewmate, and today was the day she could finally prove to her single mother that she was ready to get out of her wing and fly free into a fresh MIRA job that could give her success in life. Her brain ran laps in her skull, pondering the amazement she'll find waiting at Polus. Nothing could go wrong now! Not ever! Then the dropship door went down like a drawbridge. It only felt like seconds ago when she boarded that ship! Oh well, there's no time to waste now! Blossom flew out of her seat, going to the MIRA Official and grabbing her task list, ready to go! It went well, very well. Blossom was born for these tasks! Card swipe? No problem! Clean up security tapes? In a jiffy! Hours swept by, Blossom taking no time to complete her tasks, but she didn't get to meet any of the people! She started to feel lonely, and looked at the last task on her list. Check Outpost Territory. What did that mean? She read the details. "Go to the outskirts of the outpost and make sure the creature wall is on. Why: MIRA HQ cannot get the control signals from Polus's distance, so until further technology, checking laser fields will need manual confirmation," Blossom read. She had to go out into the wild? By herself? She took a few breaths. "Okayyy... that isn't bad! I'm a m-mature... 11 year old cadet... although they should've given the t-task to someone more experienced and with less life ahead of them... b-but it was probably random... no, Blossom! Breathe! You're brave! I can do this!" The steep, icy cliffs were hard to navigate, and the blizzard made it hard to see, until she finally bumped into something. A long, titanium pole stuck into the air. A laser fence! Now she had to find the control device. After treading through the snow, she found a small metal device that looked like the thing in front of Skeld's reactor. Now she had to figure out how to turn it on. She stressed her little head over it, looking for some way to solve it. That's when she felt something cold start crawling up her back like a living vine. She gasped, which was probably not the best option. The vine wrapped around her, strangling her. Blossom tried to scream, but her throat was closed up. She writhed, losing her breath and energy. The more she moved, the tighter the vine got, and the more it's thorns sank into her throat. Blossom eventually lost her consciousness after a horrid minute of agony and coughing blood. Her world went black, one thing at a time, until she was in a void, separated from the world.
