Part 2 - An Enmity of Love She then started her tale to the listening waitress. Near the counter, she saw another woman with purple hair and blue eyes listening keenly to her. The woman at the counter was Marissa. "So, it was on October 28, last week. I had come here with my friends because they had said it was a really good place to get cake. Especially the chocolate cake. We came here and ate the cake and stayed for some time. Then my friends left and I stayed in the shop. After a few minutes, my little sister came. Clara. She's been visiting me from El Paso for a long time. I once ran away from home because I didn't want to do the family business, running our family hotel, which I was the heir for, and wanted to be an astrophysicist. So my parents were really, really mad at me and the family business went to Clara. Ever since, she's been asking me and calling me to come back and take the hotel back. She feels that she has the burden of taking care of a hotel, while I escaped so she wants me to come and take care of it. On October 26, she had sent me a letter, which I just kept in my purse to throw away. I knew that all of her letters would just have the same wordings - "Alie (which is my nickname), come back and take care of the hotel." "Alie, having a hotel is so easy, you can learn to do it easily!" "Alie, return home and handle what you were the heir for." "Alie, Alie, Alie". Ugh! It's so annoying. Anyway, she came to the shop and before she could see me, I saw her. I ran to the restroom and stayed there, until I was sure she was gone. I didn't want to see her face ever again. I heard her inquiring if I was there, because she'd seen me from the window. After some time, she left with her car. And while she was going to El Paso, she got into an accident and-and-and, well, wasn't able to survive. I went home as soon as I could after knowing what had happened to Clara. I was ready to take care of the hotel. But when I went there, my parents acted like I didn't exist. They completely ignored me. They thought that I was the sole reason for Clara's death, because she had died while coming and going to see me. I wasn't even able to see her. And I want to go there. Now." Both Tara and Marissa listened to this very interestedly. "I see.." said Marissa, even though she didn't see or listen to a word properly. "I thought you never wanted to see her again. Why do you want to go there again to see her?" asked Tara. "Don't you understand? I may hate her, I may say bad things to her, she may be my enemy, but she's my sister! The only person in my family who loved and cared for me! Don't you understand?" said Alessandra, feeling tense. "Uh... not really." came the answer from Tara. "Why was she your enemy if she was the only person in your family who loved you?" asked Marissa. "Do you really not understand my condition? Ok, I didn't like her, but it was mutual love! How can you not feel sad if your sister died, even if she was your enemy?" Alessandra was almost at the bursting point. The two women in front of her just stared blankly. "Anyway," Tara interrupted. "If you really want to go back, you should know the rules. There are many, so you'll have to listen carefully. One - you need to think of which day you want to go. Only that, or something wrong can happen. Two - this is very important to you - you can't change the lives of people. No matter what you do, Clara will be dead. Even if a gunman comes and shoots someone from the past, they will be injured in the present, but cannot die. Three - You can only meet people who have come to the shop. For example, you can't meet your mother or father, as they haven't come here. Four - Wherever you're sitting, you can't get up. You will have to stay there, or you will never be able to go back to the present. Five - You will be given a clock and a candy. When it chimes, you will have to eat the candy and you will come back to present. If you don't, you'll get lost in time. Forever. Six - You can not reveal that you are from the future. If you do, it can lead to dire consequences, something that may actually change the present. And the last one, the seventh one - You can only go back once. Once in your life. Are you still ready to go back and meet Clara now?"
