For those of you who have read the Republic by Plato, the cave allegory that Socrates makes is one of the "big points" in the narrative. In said allegory, prisoners are chained behind a wall while "puppeteers" carry cutouts of objects past a fire which casts shadows on the wall the prisoners are facing. Eventually, one of the prisoners escapes the cave and sees the surface and sunlight. He is blinded and is in extreme pain from the light, but when he finally gets back in the cave, he realizes he must tell the other prisoners about the glorious sunlight. You can Google the allegory if you want more details about it, as it's quite in-depth. 1. The entire build - This was actually for a school project. We were tasked with making an artistic representation of the cave allegory, and I made this Lego build. 2. This is the wall the prisoners face. The ghost guys are the puppeteers, and, as you can see, it does actually cast shadows. 3. This picture shows the fire in the allegory. I used a light brick from my Haunted House set to cast the chicken's shadow on the wall. 4. This is the surface of the build, with some foliage, a few wolves, and the prisoner who has escaped the cave. I hope you like this build, as it's something a bit out-of-the-ordinary for me.
