The invasion of Tholob caught the Tholob government off guard, even though they had been talking of a "Great war to drive the donkish to the sea". Unfortunately Tholob had only been able to partially mobilise, before a wave of the allied army swept through them. This decimated the 1st 2nd and 3rd Costal marines' group, the Koad task group as well as all of the 3 Presidential Tank groups. Now the stragglers of these defeats have entrenched themselves at Laman.
