And here's my bio for him: Name: Koi Gender: Male Backstory: Koi was a skilled musical artist and it was his dream to join a band. He grew up with his parents in a musical Japanese forest in which the critters roaming there would teach him to play different instruments, his favorite were the flute, the taiko drum and electric piano. As a young kitten, he would preform in front of the forest critters and practice his instruments. One day, at the gate of his magical, musical home, his parents found an advertisement poster. The Shockrock Shellfish, a nearby band, were in need of a fourth member to play the guitar. What a great opportunity for sweet little Koi! His parents rushed to let him know the great news, when suddenly, a masked bandit swooshed by and stole the poster! Koi ran out of his family minka (Japanese cottage) to greet them, suddenly noticing the thief. Koi's parents quickly explained that the bandit had stole the poster and how the instructions to apply for the band were listed on it, so they'd have to retrieve it for directions. The thief zigzagged off a bamboo shoot and kept going, but Koi flung straight forward, his mom to the left and his dad to the right. Then, the crook bounded out of their territory and into the streets, hanging on to a passing ice cream truck for support. But all was not lost! The thief's luggage fell and as he went to grab it, a sudden claw reached out and grabbed the poster! The ice cream man was trying to help them! He snatched it away from the burglar and swerved towards the three. "I believe this belongs to you!" he said, dropping it at Koi's feet. Finally, at last! He would be able to preform live on stage, not just for his little forest friends! But there was a catch. Of all the instruments, he couldn't play the guitar as skillfully, so he placed lower in the auditions and ended up being picked for just a stagehand. He glanced over at the joy filled faces in the crowd through the curtains, wishing he could be the center of so much glee. But he wouldn't give up, he would start his own band. He set up posters all around his gorgeous forest home, hoping some critters might wanna join. And so, little by little, he gathered many pals far and wide, creating a small band that soon grew, forming new bonds and connections throughout the globe. But, one day, he was tasked with a job, his family went poor and he saw an ad for another contest, this time for bands to play and see who ended up on top! The prize was enough money to buy a mansion and several fancy cars, for sure it would help feed his family. Before the contest, he and some of his new friends went out on the street, making graffiti on the walls to advertise for his band and new album to try to make some money on the side, too. He developed an interest in art, but was discouraged upon receiving complaints from the townsfolk. "This is a no graffiti zone!" they angrily yelled, and he took it personally, thinking his art wasn't good enough. So, he started volunteering at an art center nearby, making and selling art along with others. Him and his buddies didn't end up winning the competition, but they got more recognition from entering in it and Koi decided to not give up on his dreams of music and art! And so, his friends helped spread the words that his family needed more money and food, and they helped provide. They all celebrated their thankfulness with a feast of roast turkey, jams, eggnog and roasted fish. Everyone was invited to join! And Koi became famous because of his gratitude and kindness throughout the globe, as he also began helping others in need along the way. Sometimes, you can find him sketching plans and ideas for new album covers on the street, he then returns home and shares his drawings with his family and friends. He also meets up with his fans at conventions and does music tours around the world! He enjoys dressing cool while playing the electric keyboard, and making sure everyone has a great time.
