It was early morning, 4:00, on November 6. The whole city of Waco was silent and asleep. Only one shop, in the edge of the city, was opening. It was the old antique shop called Treats and Time. When someone says 'old antique shop', you may think it's just decorated with old antiques. But the shop itself is a antique. It was first opened right before World War I, which makes it one of the oldest shops. It also is a bit mysterious. In the hot summers of Texas, the shop would be so cool, and in the winter, refreshingly warm. Yet there was no air conditioner. There was a small electric fan near the counter, but you couldn't expect something so small to heat or cool down an entire, large shop, could you? Only 3 people were in this shop - the most loved, common waitress, Tara Austin, from San Antonio, the sarcastic but likable cashier, Marissa Darer, who was living in Waco, but was from North Dakota and the owner and manager of the shop, Lizzie Martin, who had came from London and was now living with her best friend, Tara. Tara was sitting in one of the tables, wiping the table until it shone, Marissa counting the cash from the cash register, and Lizzie looking at her phone with a grave expression. Tara, after all the tables were squeaky clean, saw Lizzie's face and pulled a chair next to her. "Hey, Liz, what happened?" asked Tara. "Oh, nothing, nothing." said Lizzie, but Tara had known Lizzie enough to know that she was hiding something. "Tell me. What happened?" said Tara again. "Well, it's nothing much serious, just something with my elder brother." replied Lizzie. "You mean, your brother Langdon, who used to come to the shop every day? Did you have a fight? Is that why he hasn't come for the last 6 months?" asked Tara. Tara remembered the 30 year old, handsome guy who used to come a lot to see Lizzie. Tara had really enjoyed his visits, because he made the shop feel more lively. "No, not a fight. It's a long story, actually. So -" Lizzie suddenly stopped. A blonde, tall man with the most dashing blue eyes, similar to Lizzie's, entered the shop. Tara recognized this man at once. "Good morning, Langdon. Pleasure to meet you!" said Tara. Langdon just stared at her. "Good morning." he said. "One croissant and strawberry smoothie, please." Tara entered the kitchen to go get it, leaving only Marissa, Lizzie, and Langdon in the room. "Langdon.." said Lizzie. "Hello? It's me, Lizzie!" "I don't know any Lizzie. How do you know my name? Anyway, have you seen my sister? I think I had a sister over here." replied Langdon. "But, Langdon, I'm your sister!" said Lizzie, standing in front of Langdon. "I've never seen you before. You're not my sister. Now, move." said Langdon, and pushed her away. Lizzie's eyes were wet with tears. Marissa, who was watching all this drama, bit her lip. What was happening?
