Guess the pH of the substance by selecting a number and submitting it. How far were you off? The pH scale is a scale from 0 to 14 that measures if a substance is acidic or basic. An acidic substance will have a pH less than 7, and a basic substance will have a pH of more than 7. A substance with a pH of exactly 7 is known as neutral. Acids are usually sour, and strong ones are corrosive. They include most foods. Bases are usually bitter, and strong ones are caustic. They include most cleaning products, and they also feel slippery.
Thanks to litmus paper and phenophthalein for making this project possible. NOTE - pH's were taken from various sources around the internet. Some may not be entirely accurate, as some sites vary with their information, and I also had to round each one to a whole number.
