Click/tap the play button to start. There will be some dialogue from the story, which can be skipped through by using the space bar/clicking/tapping. Once the game starts, tap the space bar rapidly to keep the chill bar from reaching fully frozen. Once you either tap out or win (which occurs after managing to stay 'warm' for 10 minutes), your score is given on the screen. Press the space bar/click/tap/ to play another game.
This project is inspired by one of the many tests depicted in Prepped by Bethany Mangle. Becca and all of the other teenagers on her street participate in tests to practice strength, tolerance, and method of getting out of certain situations. This game is approaching as tense as it can get, and for good reason. As can be deduced, the test this game is inspired by is one where the teens have to stay in freezing cold water (with minimal coverage) for 10 minutes. This is, of course, why there is a 600 second countdown to winning the game. Thanks to Bethany Mangle, of course, for writing Prepped. All art in the game was made by me, but the 'PREPPED' part of the title was traced from the cover of the book along with Becca and Roy's character images. Of course, the game's cover on the Scratch website also uses text and an image (of Becca and Roy), except those are directly taken from the cover of the book. Note: This is for an English project, let's hope it's good!
