Haha Sirens: Sirens due to popular belief are considered to have beautiful almost enchanting voices but are said to be extremely hideous with temperamental attitudes when they arent given their way. Sirens have the unique ability to put a trance on a human in order to lure them somewhere to take their lives. Sirens are NOT mermaids, often confused as a mermaid they in fact look almost nothing like them, a siren is a half-bird and half-human creature. Sirens tend to be on the smarter side, contrary to their Harpy cousins, NOTE: Sirens due to the more bird like body dont really wear clothing lol Mermaid: Mermaid are often confused with Sirens, but on the contrary Mermaid are actually the fish-like creature, mermaids can be both good or evil, that is why a Siren-mermaid is a thing (only here tho apparently) A siren-mermaid is an evil mermaid. This is probably due to the harpies often being portrayed as bird-like, and of course birds are well known for singing. - They were generally depicted as birds with the heads of maidens, faces pale with hunger and long claws on their hands. Roman and Byzantine writers detailed their ugliness. Pottery art depicting the harpies featured beautiful women with wings. Though Harpies (in my mind) tend to be more along the human side, with a human like body shrouded in feathers yet they have bird like feet and hands with long sharp talons. Harpy's tend to be a bit on the dumber side, contrary to their Siren cousins. Haha Witches: Witches are humans who take part and worship in the dark art. Witchcraft traditionally means the use of magic or supernatural powers to harm others. A practitioner is a witch. In medieval and early modern Europe, where the term originated, accused witches were usually women who were believed to have attacked their own community, and often to have communed with evil beings.Their lives are long, due to constant amount of dark magic use, but after a while of using magic they start to look more age ridden and ugly than when they were younger, this is why many witches over time use dark magic spells to make themselves look young again but that takes a toll on their bodies and they can no longer do so without risking de@th.
