I shrugged. "Manners, I guess" Vera sighed. "You too... not again!"she stomped her foot. I just rolled my eyes. "Well... I was thought something back at home" Vera grinned,"Did you run away? Because it sure looks like that."her violet eyes sparkled mischievously. Darya came over, taking the plates from the table to the dishwasher. "Not trying to interrupt or anything, but...did YOU run away?" Great. Now they would ask me questions, and eventually call the police. Maybe I can run away from here, too. I'll never know. Never know. Slowly, I found myself nodding. I gasped. Vera's eyes widened,"WOOOW. That's so cooool!!" she began running around in circles, jumping and clapping. "Run-Away, Run-Away!" she chanted. Her eyes light up like sparkling jewels. I lowered my head and sat down on the oak bench next to the dining table. I was tired, sad and annoyed.
