Slightly more possible edition (without goo, more updated, less laggy/glitchy): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/78772690/ If you have any questions that may reveal details about the game that were not known until you started playing, or you want to answer those questions, see https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/153250 . All questions that don't reveal details about the game not in the instructions, introduction, or notes and credits section can be posted here. Notes: The thumbnail is not a real level itself, however, it does show a few obstacles that will be used in other levels, as well as the general shape of most levels. Instructions Starting the project: You may have to press the flag more than once. If either ball goes to the wrong place at the beginning (if the Green Ball doesn't end up close to the ground at the left edge, or the Tan ball doesn't end up close to the ground at the opposite edge, or if Green starts saying things that don't make sense based on the context, press the flag again). Playing the Game: Your girlfriend Pink has been taken by the Red Ball and the Witch, and nobody but you can save her! Press the arrow keys to move, and the up arrow to jump. Pay close attention to discussions... some of them change the directions! At least until otherwise notified *hint*, you are supposed to avoid red, and only walk on black. Blue is bouncy. Light green is placed by the Witch, and Red is placed by the Red Ball. Light green will ALWAYS kill you. Red will "at least until otherwise notified *hint*". Your goal is to get to the opposite side of the level without touching red or green. Whenever you touch red or green, you lose a life, and, worst of all, your species only has 500! You think that's a lot? Take the challenge... play the game! Notes about the gameplay: When you get to the halfway point, there is a boss fight. At the end, there is also a boss fight. Left is your lives, middle is your coins, and, during the 2nd boss fight, the right represents your progress.
This game is VERY hard and could be long as well. There's a reason the lives variable was the last thing added :). Better graphics effects coming soon. Better art may be available upon request if I can manage the request. If not, I'll try to find a way to get as close as possible to your request. No easier version is in progress, because this was supposed to be easy. Clearly I'm not as good at easier platformers as I want to be! There is an slightly easier version at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/78772690/ . However, it is encouraged that you remix this and make it easier. Remixing is simple - just change the backdrops to make/delete/modify levels, and disable the obstacles by dragging out the boolean that makes it show up on a certain backdrop. Follow the examples provided on other obstacles to add obstacles. Before remixing, make sure your remix is not identical to this project. Changelog: 9/20: Game is shared, assumed to be glitch-free. This is later proven to be false, and the game is unshared that day. Cause of major glitch found (graphic effects blocks) 9/21: Graphic effects removed or replaced, in order to fix major glitch. Other minor glitches fixed. Project moved to main account 9/22: Coins added 9/23: Game tested and shared 9/26: Goo added (or, whatever you want to call that green stuff) In progress: Better graphics (can't be done until about November without causing more glitches than it is worth) All levels, and all scripts except the platform engine was made by me. The red ball was made by another Scratcher. All of the other balls, and the witch are from the Scratch Library. The water droplets and steam were from cliker.com Every other sprite is made by me. A huge thanks to @crazyhenryj for making the platform engine. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do this without that engine. During my first try at this (without the engine) I had no idea how to make physics apply at all! And another huge thanks to @Dylan5797 for helping me to be able to make this project without it going away and being replaced with a white screen every few seconds. Obviously, this project could not have been a success if it went white every time I tried to edit it. Thanks to @griffpatch for a lot of media (the background music, the coins, and the coin sound effect, all of which were used in his Scratchnapped game), @technoswyft for the red ball sprite, and @eliteprogram123 for the bubbles that come out of the "goop" (I think that the goop is identical to his fumes, but that was totally accidental) I am not exactly sure what inspired this game, but it was probably a combination of @mojohill 's The Robot and the Princess - Scratch Stories Volume 2, @griffpatch 's Scratchnapped, @saweron 's Pixel Rush, and @RapperRJAM 's Blue Bob's Home Adventure Thanks to freesfx.co.uk, bfxr.com, leshylabs.com, soundbible.com, and youtube.com for various sound effects. As mentioned above, some sound effects were also found in Scratchnapped by @griffpatch . A huge thanks to the ST for everything on this website. For the programming language, for the website, for the amazing community, and for fixing glitches. None of this could ever even be imagined without you! Finally, thanks to everyone who plays this project (especially if they love or favorite it).
