2/1/2023: Finally... after months of work coding this project... I present to you: DOGFIGHT ___________________________________________ Instructions: Space for guns. m for missiles. Don't let the darker missiles and silver bullets get you! And don't crash into the enemy! Get 5 kills and become an ace to win the game! 10 DamageE for a kill. 10 DamageP to be killed. Kills and damage shown in variables. Click "Change Landscape" to choose between an ocean, canyon, mountain, or hills backdrop. Click "Start Game" to start countdown, and click during countdown OUTSIDE of game to help with lag. To view backgrounds in full before starting, hover over buttons, though you will not see the full thing, because the buttons will be there. You are whatever color plane you made it on the menu screen. Oh, and arrow keys or WASD to move. Mobile could eventually come in future versions. #Games #Planes #FighterJets

Thank You. - @AnAthleticMusician ___________________________________________ Changes: V. 0.1 - The exact same thing as tag, a different game I created, but with planes and water instead of dots. I didn't share it at this stage, because it wasn't what I was going for. V. 1.0 - INITITAL RELEASE 2/1/2023 - Added player and enemy attack, eliminated timer, made it easier to lose, etc. V. 2.0 - Completely New Graphics, able to change background, thumbnail, Menu. Biggest change all at once so far. V. 2.1 - 2/10/2023 - Changed colors of menu to navy colors (instead of red and black) to correspond with name, since dogfights are typically a naval activity, hid variables until start of actual play, can no longer touch enemy, and finally added explosions! V. 3.0 - 2/15/2023 - Added more background options, added day/night mode, and changed images for planes. V. 3.1 - 2/17/2023 - Added a list that shows who has won the game already. Ok, never mind. It doesn't work. But I tried. V. 3.2 - 3/9/2023 - Changed look of Menu screen, allowed to change color of plane, and accidentally fixed bug with buttons (Yay!)! Hid list. V. 3.3 - 3/20/2023 - Fixed bug with bullets with help from V. 3.4 - 3/22/2023 - Allowed for no color on plane and weapons instead of choosing a color. V. 3.5 - 3/24/2023 - The planes were all unarmed, so I added that, except for the ones in the background image on the menu tab. Maybe they already fired them all? Idk, lol. Maybe they're just practicing something, or just showing off, lol. V. 3.6 - 3/27/2023 - Fixed bugs with plane colors at game start and with Mountains button V. 3.7 - 4/3/2023 - finally learned how to customize the ranges of slider variables, so I increased the range of the color variable, allowing more color options like purple and pink. V. 3.8 - 7/27/2023 - Added new intro to beginning, though the variable won't hide. Sorry about that. V. 3.9 - 8/28/2023 - Added Thumbnail and fixed bugs that came with intro... I think I forgot to put the layers in the code for it. :P I will probably need to fix that at some point. ________________________________________ Ideas: ✔Attack for enemy obstacles ✔ better background/graphics ✔ explosions sound cloud variables (list to show winners [Aces]) mist/clouds/fog in image choose difficulty/reasons ✔ choose background (Ocean/Ground) choose barriers/no barriers manual rotation on/off ✔ no timer flares ejection (quit) ✔ # of kills or killed to end the game. ✔ Menu, buttons, and start other than pressing space. ✔ Countdown to start ✔ Better Plane graphics ✔ Day/Night mode ✔ Better Buttons, better background on menu screen More things to do, like target practice, multiplayer, obstacles, practice, etc. (maybe test this first) ___________________________________________ I'm currently testing something on the game I made before this called Tag. Its not always my main focus, but eventually, I am hoping to add more levels, so that there is more types of things to do, a longer game, and various levels of difficulty. It seems like it will be a long time, but I'll somehow figure it out.
