Try to say that title three times fast! Hello, it’s me Sam. For the past year or so, I have dropped off the face of Scratch. School had been taking up an increasing amount of my time (it still is), and I felt as though I had outgrown this website (I still do). But I’ve returned! Because somehow, in the past year or so, I ended up on Twitter. I had thought, for some reason, that it would be “better” or “more mature” than Scratch. I was lucky to end up in a decent community, but in general, Twitter was none of those things. It is mindless, time-sucking; I was a much more productive person before Twitter. I could move to Tumblr like everyone else, sure. But Scratch has this way of directly encouraging creativity, and I like that! Even if it’s just a “kid’s coding website”. Plus, some nostalgia couldn’t hurt. Unlike before, I will be using Scratch as more of a game design tool and less of a social platform. Don’t expect me to be super active though!
