Looking Back on 2022 The year 2022 passed by with a blink of an eye, but looking back, I’m happy to see how much I’ve learned and grown. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m smaller than a dot on a paper in this world, but I will never come to terms with the fact that I’m growing up. I’ve still got a long way to go, but that’s what I thought at the beginning of the year. Let’s hope it’ll take all the time in the world, because I don’t want to grow up any time soon!! I started the year like everybody else: new promises, fresh goals, and a hope for a newer, better me. I don’t remember the promises well enough to be certain if I’ve fulfilled them or not. But I had one main goal for this year; to write and finish one book! But instead, I finished three! One of them is the third book in my series, and the other an epistolary novel. The third was a science fiction I was writing for fun – which means it won’t be published, at least, not for very, very, long time! And have I become a newer, better me? Well, that’s not for me to decide. Despite all that, I’ve made a lot of friends, and gotten closer to the ones I already have. I’ve also learnt the importance of saying ‘no’ to people, and I don’t think I can count the number of times people have told me to speak more! Hopefully, by the end of 2023, you’ll be asking me to speak less! And that brings us to my goals for 2023! (I won’t forget them this time!) 1. I’ll finish at least 1 more book. 2. I’ll learn to speak a lot more. 3. I’ll pay extra attention to my grades. And last, but definitely not the least… 4. I’ll spend more time with my family. I hope all of you have an amazing 2023, and that your year is filled with happiness and good memories! And books, you can’t forget books! Music: Coming Home - Skylar Grey
