Instructions

Xai brushed a hand over a nearby log. She looked up into the sky, red with fire with the gray of ash mixed in. She takes in a breath of smoky air before exhaling with pain. "This really is the end isn't it?" She asked herself before taking in one more shaky breath. "Well. I'll join you soon, Elah." Xai whispered under her breath, tears falling down at the name of her dead enbyfriend. "I love you." She gave a shaky smile to the sky, as the fire surrounded her. Xai lost consciousness within minutes. ------- Aly trailed through the house of the orphanage. Rain was pouring outside. She out her hand on the window, feeling the cold replying to her. Just a few weeks ago, her mother had died. With her ren dying just a few months before her mother, it left Aly alone. She had no friends and no family to live with, all she was forced into the orphanage. Her mother was killed by a fire, the reason of the fire was unknown. Aly stated at her reflection, A bit too long apparently. "You okay there Aly?" A voice from behind made her spin around, forcing a grin on her face. "Yep, 'm fine Katty Kat!" Aly announces, making Kathern blush at the nickname. "Might as well call you Aly Alligator." Kat spoke. Aly flew over to Kathern and gave her a hug. Both of their faces turned red and they let go. "Now what's bothering you, Dear?" Kat asked. She brushed her hand gently on Aly's face. "Mm fine, Kat." Aly spoke with a smile. Kathern gave a confused frown. "Lies. But I won't push you." Kat said, giving a boop on Aly's nose before running away laughing. Aly laughed sadly. She grabbed out her book. Fern of The Forest, was the name of the book. It was about a fox, just a few minutes old, who had became ruler. He didn't know what to do and could barely speak, but with the weight of the pack on his shoulders, he has to grow up quick. War outbreaks and Fern has to save his clan, but his less than a moon old. Aly laughed at funny part in the book. The deeper she got into the book the more she was intrigued. She had now moved into her temporary room. As she read, she started to cry. This part was just like how her mother died. A fire engulfed the forest, to which Fern had tried to lead his pack out to safety, but two foxes had died in the fire. Aly closed her books and wiped her tears. The literature was good, yes, but it just reminded her of Xai. She gave out a sad sigh. "Yesterdays a bad day, today may be as well, but the sun keeps shining, A bad day won't stop it. Tomorrow will be a day of sunshine, now rest little Moon." Aly recited a song her ren had sang to her at night years ago. She missed her ren. Aly jumped down from her bed. One of the people working at the orphanage stood at the door. "Ms Aly. You have a letter."
